A year ago, Mike Strickland was beaten and ended in the hospital for several months. His cameras were stolen, then returned with the drives wiped. He has video of the attack, but the authorities refused to prosecute. Recently, Mike was threatened by a mob of anarchists and Black Lives Matter activists again. This time he protected himself.
Victoria Taft has written a well researched article, with video, that shows Mike Strickland defending himself from the mob in Portland. The link has it all. From victoriataft.com:
Mike Strickland was arrested and charged in Portland for pulling a gun at a Black Lives Matter/anarchist protest when a mob converged on him. But now he sits in jail. As one person put it, “[Mike Strickland] is now a political prisoner in Multnomah County.”
Strickland, the man charged with waving a gun at protesters last week at a Don't Shoot PDX march, has been banned from Portland State and Portland Community College's campuses.So there you have it. Be beat and put in the hospital for months, with video proof. Have your creative work stolen/destroyed. Then have the authorities refuse to prosecute.
The two schools confirmed Wednesday that Strickland will not be allowed to set foot on campus if and when he is released from custody. Portland State is banning Strickland for two years. PCC's ban is indefinite, but Strickland could appeal the decision. Both schools informed Strickland of the ban last week.
Mike Strickland is someone I know. I respect him because he makes little to no money going to these events trying to hold people accountable. He’s fought for both the First and Second Amendments for half a decade and he does so at great risk to himself.Link to Video

It’s our fault. When they show up to arrest us, we’ve gone peacefully. This treatment will continue so long as we continue to do so.

At 1:23, he’d already drawn his weapon, placed it back in it’s holster, and a BLM thug just keeps advancing on him.
I’d follow the advice I was told by a gun rights lawyer in Virginia, if you need to pull then shoot somebody. That way prosecutors can’t squibble over brandishing laws. They have to immediately look to see if you were in fear of your life. With his history and this video, he would skate easily.

He has now been let out on bail. A well to do patriot has put up 25K, I believe.
He is said to have video that shows the threats. Whether it will be allowed in court, is uncertain.
He has a good attorney, I understand.
That is what my dear departed father taught me long decades ago. Never show someone a gun. You shoot and you shoot to kill. So if you are not to “kill” yet the gun stays holstered.
Many reasons why that is not good advice for a great many situations.
About 95% of defensive gun uses are defused without anyone being shot, as in this case.
Most people do not want to be shot, so they back down.
The idea is to make criminals have to question whether or not the inhabitants of a house are armed or not.
Oregon State, and Portland in particular has a long established history of prosecuting anyone not adhering to whatever their present liberal orthodoxy happens to be. Laws and the constitution are as useful to Oregon’s judicial system as a bicycle is to a fish.

A great opportunity for President Trump to send in the FBI and Justice Department to arrest the Portland prosecutor and judge for violating the man’s first and second amendment rights. Set bail at $10 billion, as both leftist rats are risks to escape to communist Cuba to avoid prosecution.
Have you heard about the Lake Oswego, OR preacher that used church funds...about $3K to by one third of the tickets in a raffle for an AR-15? He won, and intended to destroy the weapon. He gave it to a friend for safe-keeping, thereby violating Oregon’s new laws on transfer...laws that close the “gun show loophole.” We’ll see if he’s prosecuted.
