We were warned.
Prior to the Republican National Convention, multiple mainstream media outlets warned about Ohio's dangerous gun laws that allow for the open carry of firearms.
The head of the police union wanted Ohio Governor John Kasich to (unconstitutionally) suspend the state's gun laws.
"We are sending a letter to Gov. Kasich requesting assistance from him. He could very easily do some kind of executive order or something -- I don't care if it's constitutional or not at this point," Stephen Loomis, president of Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association, told CNN. "They can fight about it after the RNC or they can lift it after the RNC, but I want him to absolutely outlaw open-carry in Cuyahoga County until this RNC is over."
The New York Times ominously reported: "However, given the recent tumult around the country, some leaders are anxious that the environment could turn dangerous. Members of one group made up of current and former members of the military called the Oath Keepers, who have shown up at other tense events heavily armed, say they again plan to carry weapons into Cleveland."

I agree.
I have to show this to my husband. We used to go up to Mount Lemmon on the weekends, especially to picnic in the snow and we enjoyed looking at the horse property along the way off Tanque Verde. On the way back we would enjoy Aqua Caliente.
I wish I were a teenager in your neighborhood in those days. hen was that? That would have been so much fun.
Are anyone in your varmint posse people I would know today with a high profile locally in Tucson or elsewhere?
Thank-you for your memories.
We miss Arizona.
Democrats!
That kind of public statement should disqualify him from government work. Standards must be even lower than I thought.
I wonder whether this will change the thinking of the organizers of the democrat national asylum this coming week?
How Many People Were Shot by Open Carriers at the RNC? Obviously several thousand, but the news was suppressed by the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy and the Rich Right Wing Media Moguls. |

"Proof!" |
The man who made this statement should never be allowed near a position of authority ever again
The ‘rats will double down on this story and insist all the grief counselors that had to be called into Cleveland for the anti-gun snowflakes is proof for an all out gun ban.
Why? Becauuse Kasick had the good sense to stay away from a convention he didn’t agree with. On the other hand, Toxic Ted and “good sense” don’t belong in the same sentence.
Billions and billions
You are absolutely right! The left-over Hippies the Dims bring in by the bus load were in fear they would be shot if they started attacking regular citizens that were armed. Now see how it will be at the gun free Dim convention.
That WOULD be an interesting statistic to see!
Oh...was like ‘67-’68. There was nothing but desert past Sabino Canyon road then, and ranches.
Long hike out to the washes and up into Redington pass. That’s where the snakes wuz...the real varmints!
I wouldn’t say anyone is real high profile from our gang...some made it, some didn’t. A surgeon, USAF pilot, engineer (me), some working class guys...bout normal.
I found this complete history of the “Trigglypuff” meme:

How many at the Convention actually carried? I see no report of that.
Almost surprised no leftist stepped up to the plate and did it himself....to prove a point.
If concealed who would know?
It was terrible!
The gun violence spread all the way to Chicago!
