On Sunday, even after the FBI hinted the presence of a link to radical Islam, the panel on ABCs This Week blamed the terrorist attack at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida on heated election rhetoric and guns in America. I think we all ought to pause with what happened in Orlando today, stated ABCs Matt Dowd when asked if third party candidates could gain supporters, And if we understand that all of the hateful thoughts become hateful words become hateful actions.
Dowd continued, And now, maybe in the course of this, after what happened, the temperatures will go down and we, sort of, get back to a place where we can understand the common good.
Republican strategist Kellyanne Conway then argued that America is in need of strong leadership. But strong leadership, Kelly, is not about fear mongering and exploiting racial anxieties, and bigotry, snapped The Nation editor Katrina Vanden Heuvel.
Heuvel had her own narrative to spin the deaths of the innocent for:
I think the, you know, grief and anger today, but we can't lose sight of senseless gun violence and the gun epidemic in this country....

How about if we all try not to lose sight of reality instead:
They are after your gunz..,
Were they the first? I had a gambling pool going on who would say it first. My money was on MSNBC. I guess I lost
Uh, no.
I don’t think Bathhouse Barry is pulling a Fred Phelps.
Though I understand where you’re coming from, 100%.
They can spin it all they want, the fact is Donald Trump just got more votes from homosexual Democrats.
They can’t be serious. This was an Islamic terror attack on a gay night club. That’s exactly what it was and nothing else. No Republican luminaries involved, no NRA members, no knuckle-dragging rightwing extremists (and damn proud of it, thanks). Just an angry, murderous Muslim and a large number of disarmed victims who he shot for being gay. Twisting this into election-year politics does neither the victims nor the country a service and only abets the murderer.
I blame it on the Junior Varsity of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Go ahead Bronco, tell me I’m wrong.
I see what you did there and am totally behind it.
>get back to a place where we can understand the common good
There can never be common good with islam in the picture.
One atheist uber-lib family member compared ISIS ideology to Christianity... "ISIS got their crazy ideology from The Book of Revelations, you know".
I'm not making this up... ;-D
If 9-11-2001 didn't wake America up nothing will.
All Americans are targets. It’s time for the ultimate preemptive strike. E Pluribus Uranium. The middle east chooses to receive. ;-)
Tell the opportunistic gun grabbers that we need TERRORIST CONTROL!
Their attempts at gun control only ensure defenseless victims, and more opportunities for terror.
I agree completely.
So they basically blame it on the 1st and 2nd Amendment.
True fact.
At times like this I’m glad for early prepping.
“Radical Islam is intolerant of women, gays, . .. “
Remove radical.
Let me guess--is she complicit in the effort to create the narrative that Donald Trump will start WWIII when elected, even though she cannot point to a single factor about Donald Trump which would lead one to a reasoned conclusion that he is set on starting WWIII? And now she's complaining about fear-mongering and bigotry?
If you want to know what a liberal is plotting, listen very carefully to what he or she accuses conservatives of planning or doing. Because that's when liberals tell you exactly what they are up to.
They can try to blame everything under the sun except radical Islam for this and it won’t succeed. People see through it more and more.
It is why Trump will win. The left has gone too far - even for some of their historical constituencies.
