Folk,
Our federal government has failed miserably in its primary objective among its few and limited powers: Keeping the American people safe.
There have been close to a dozen terrorist attacks on American soil since 9/11.
Islam is an ideology that cannot be reasoned with. I do not want to "understand" it, learn it, break bread with these people, or have them in my community.
Aside from Israel, I do not care about the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia and all these Arab countries are NOT our friends.
Everything I learned about Islam I learned back during the Jefferson administration.
Donald Trump called for a temporary Muslim ban until "we can figure things out."
It is time we go further, and this should have been done after the 1st WTC bombing in 1993.
- A total ban on Muslim immigration to the U.S.
- A total ban on Muslim travel and student visas to the U.S. (no Muslims in our Universities.
- An end to the refugee resettlement program.
- Immediate deportation of all Somali and Syrian refugees that have entered the country since 2009.
- No welfare or SNAP benefits for existing Somali refugees.
- A law that outlaws Islam in the U.S. as it is a political ideology and not a religion.
- The destruction of all Mosques in the U.S.
- An immediate pullout of all U.S. troops in the Middle East.
- An end to foreign aid to all Muslim countries.
Again, we cannot co-exist with these people. It is suicide.
Complete ban, and send them all back.
Deport the “refugees” that are already here and Barry Hussein is letting in .
AND STEP UP THE CLEANOUT OF THE HORNETS NEST THAT OBAMA AND BUSH HAD CREATED HERE AT HOME. MORE FBI ON THE ISSUE
But what to do with American citizens who are born in New York? What to do with them?
Will never happen. Place your bets now.
Judges would see to it.
Doubt that it will happen. They bring lots of money and diplomatic deals for oil.
Amen! Let’s shut the bastids down!
I've been saying that since 9/12/01, more stridently each time they attack. I must be a bigot.
Works for me.
What good is a watch list unless someone is WATCHING?
After deporting ALL non-citizen Muslims, keep the rest under surveillance. Get rid of a couple of government departments and move their funding to that purpose.
It does not matter if the Orlando shooter was Muslim His identity does not justify islamophobia Our fear does not justify islamophobia Our trauma does not justify islamophobia Our sadness does not justify islamophobia Our heartbreak does not justify islamophobia Today, it is our obligation as a queer community to remember that islamophobia, homophobia, and transphobia work together. Today, it is our obligation as queer people to proclaim that the same forces that marginalize queer people in the United States are used to marginalize Muslims. Today, we need to remember that joy, love, and celebration are still possible; that queer and allied Muslims are an integral part of the queer community. Today, we must stand together against the wave of prejudice, hatred, and violence sweeping our country. Last night, just three hours before the attack began, I stopped at the bodega in my neighborhood for some ice cream. The Muslim couple who run the bodega were sitting behind the counter: the husband speaks English, and his wife is still learning. After I made my purchase, the husband translated on behalf of his wife: "What lipstick are you wearing?" he asked "It's from Sephora, it's my favorite!" I responded His wife said something to him in Arabic, the same language that my grandparents spoke when they immigrated to the United States from Syria in the 1950s, the language that I do not speak but wish I could. He turned to me: "She says that she likes your lipstick. She thinks that you look beautiful!" Today, we mourn together.
Agreed.

I like everything else, perhaps mil aid to Egypt and Jordan, they still seem to have their heads on straight regarding jihad.
It will happen. Sooner or later. The alternative is the US becomes a mozlem controlled country, part of the world wide Caliphate.
I wouldn't count on it.
From what I’ve read of Al Sisi and King Abdul (I think that’s his name), they do not want jihad at all, and Al Sisi has given 2 big speeches that Islam must be reformed (ie no jihad of any kind, no caliphate, no world domination, live peacefully with other religions, etc). They need help because many in their countries want jihad. They need help putting down the jihad. King Abdul’s mother was (or is) American and he is very westernized.
No question - Egypt is a better bet. Maybe Jordon too. But I wouldn’t bet my life on it.
Considering the number of elected officials who are gay with phony marriages trying to appear straight, a Bill such as what you suggest might just get passed. Zero would never sign it though.
This is a good start, but more is needed.
Until ALL muslims are deported, we will never really be secure as a nation. ALL of them, citizens or not, it does not matter.
Muslims are loyal to Islam, not to America. There are many training camps already here in the US that the gov’t knows about. They train for terrorism.
If we stop short of deporting ALL muslims, they will eventually overtake Christians, as they reproduce at an alarmingly high rate. Eventually, your children/grandchildren will be subject to sharia law.
I’m not exaggerating. My ancestors on both sides of my family were murdered by these animals. Why? They were Christian and would not convert.
Mark my words.
