US unemployed have quit looking for jobs at a 'frightening' level: Survey

Nearly half of unemployed Americans have quit looking for work, and the numbers are even worse for the long-term jobless, according to a poll released Wednesday that paints a grim picture of the labor market.

Some 59 percent of those who have been out of work for two years or more say they have stopped looking, the Harris Poll of unemployed Americans showed. Overall, 43 percent of the jobless said they have given up, according to the poll released in conjunction with Express Employment Professionals, a job placement service.

"This is a tale of two economies," Express CEO Bob Funk said in a statement. "It's frightening to see this many people who could work say they have given up."

The results come just a few days after a government report showed that the unemployment rate fell to 4.7 percent in May, but the drop came primarily because of a sharp decline in the labor force participation rate. The number of people of all ages whom the government considers "not in the labor force" swelled by 664,000 to a record 94.7 million Americans, according to Labor Department data....

Hang in there. The abominable decades are almost over.

Things are going to change even more quickly and radically during the years to come. It’s going to get much rougher but better afterwards. What if increasing demand for the fuel of globalism meets and crosses supply?

The following tells us a little about the future, but there’s much more.

EIA Projects An Increase In Global Oil Supply
http://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/EIA-Projects-An-Increase-In-Global-Oil-Supply.html

The EIA is lying. The author of that article proved it and ridiculed the EIA. It’s not the first time.

Bankers loaned enormous amounts from junk derivatives to producers of short lived plays and spewed propaganda to many publications. Couple that with governments around the world increasing their debts in desperate attempts to keep their most influential constituents in control over the extremely centralized production we’re seeing.

China, India and other countries continue to increase demand for oil with hundreds of millions of new drivers and frequent flyers to come.

We’ll see higher priced fuel and government defaults very soon.

Before long, we won’t be seeing so much human traffic or freight traffic between countries. Production will become much more distributed. Manufacturing will be done in small shops in every locale. The commuting paradigm will be over. The global business bosses and the political bosses behind their politicians will lose their grip.

In other words, start learning as soon as possible how to make or manufacture something useful as a hobby for now. Your community will need it. Get ready for a freer tomorrow.

Don’t worry about the local regulations. Be nonpolitical, and do what is healthy and right. And learn all that you can about agriculture.

Not sure, but I’d be surprised if the number not on public assistance of some sort exceeded 10 percent.
