Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is heading up a National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) fundraiser in New York on April 25th. However, the venue of the fundraiser is raising some eyebrows:
For those who might not know, the Ricketts Family are the primary donors to a Super-PAC specifically created to block Donald Trump from winning the GOP nomination.
Billionaire family Joe and Marlene Ricketts, owners of the Chicago Cubs, have recently given $5,000,000.oo to Katie Packer who heads Our Principles PAC, an organization created exclusively to defeat Donald Trump. Katie Packer recently outlined what they are doing with the Ricketts money:
Moving forward, Our Principles PAC is organizing delegates and deploying a number of tactics with a goal of depriving Trump of as many delegates as possible in upcoming contests. OPP will focus on delegate wins, not individual state wins.
In addition, OPP will focus on states/districts electing unbound delegates to ensure those delegates are not supporting Trump on a first ballot and tracking candidates running for delegate in upcoming conventions to ensure that even if delegates are bound to Trump on early ballots, they move away on subsequent ballots. For Speaker Ryan to be heading up a fundraiser in the home of Donald Trumps primary financial opponent/antagonist speaks volumes to the intent of the Republican Party when it comes to a unity approach. This is not being tone-deaf, this is transparently by design.
Back in 2008 the term PUMA was coined due to party shenanigans and insider manipulative efforts intended to block voices within the Democrat party. PUMA stand for Party Unity My Ass.
The message being sent by Paul Ryan is clearly one of antagonism toward Mr. Trump as the frontrunner of the Republican party. In addition, it is not a leap to see how this may be correctly perceived as Ryan positioning himself to be the nominee if Donald Trump can be successfully blocked at the republican party convention.
This is quite a significant poke in the eye.
Yes, cross-check the names first.
Of the ones that match-
1. locate their intent/vote from the PA SOS page
2. researching their campaign donations
3. google their names together with Romney
4. google their names w Santorum or Gringrich
The biggest fear of the ruling elites in Washington DC in the prospect of someone they can’t control.
Ryan was and is another wolf in sheep’s clothing, when are the voters on our side going to wake up that the GOP pretends to be something, says all the right things and then once power is given they go to being Dems and working against us?
Not sure why onyx’ post warrants your odd reply. To vote for TRUMP is the point of the upcoming state elections.
Now, to your point. You are probably correct that this is the month both parties schedule fund raisers for re-electing senate RINOs.
Hillary just did her fund raising for Democrats at Clooney’s residence a night or two ago. It is part of the gig.
However, Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz are no friend to re-electing trouble making conservatives to the House or the Senate.
Recall when Cruz was paying duty to McConnell for having entertained the troops with his pony tricks in the senate, and then agreed to serve as McConnell’s Vice Chair for the NRSC, where Cruz kicked in his $250,000.00 to re-elect THAD COCHRAN, in Mississippi.
Cruz went silent during that election, said he would not endorse anyone. Part of the deal to serve McConnell on his committee.
Lots of that money went toward the Mississippi Treatment against the TEA Party candidate who was leading that race, but with the Barbour boys in charge and the black community enlisted, the TP candidate was felled and old Thad, the mule of the senate establishment was.... re-elected.
Vote TRUMP.
I’m not loving the GOP, Rush, or Levin lately.
