That is a little bit disingenuous.

The fight is now down and dirty and Trump hired a guy who knows how to fight these battles. Trump does not and as much admits it.

Given this is a special skill set how exactly would he paly at this if he did not hire someone who was not an insider to this game?

The reason you may see trump guys push back on the narrative that this shows he is an insider is:

Cruz welcomes super PACs, Trump does not, having explicitly renounced any use of same.

Trump is paying for his primary fight, so he is beholden to no one, Cruz is increasingly beholden to the same folks he supposedly is against.

Trump’s endorsements are more outsider than Cruz’s: Sessions, Schaefhly , Palin they are more outsider than the Bush family, Graham and others who have come onboard the Cruz bus since the 15th of March.

Cruz was the one who started down this parliamentary path of seeking delegates, regardless of popular vote. Trump has no choice but to respond in like.

Don't worry.

Trump supporters are just as embarrassed by the adoration Cruz supporters show for Cruz.

It’s not hard to explain...Cruz is going around scooping up delegates that Trump honestly won, and now he needs a master of the trade in his corner to prevent this and preserve his delegates. So he hired one of the best.

At least he doesn’t have Neil Bush, Jebs brother, as his campaign finance advisor like Cruz does.

Do you know what the definition of an “insider” is? By your comments, you don’t have a clue. Time to head back to the water.

I am afraid you are wrong.

Without Cruz on the ticket trump losses around 2.4 to 3.6 million votes he needs (10 to 15 % of Cruz primary supporters).

best ticket is Trump/Cruz 2016

Cruz adds a lot to the Trump ticket, at least for a certain demographic needed to make the election a possible win.

They showed the percents needed by each candidate to get to 1237. Trump needs 59% and Cruz needs 88%. In any other year Cruz would stepping aside for the front runner, but even when he is mathematically eliminated he will make up some excuse like a convention battle and how it’s all perfectly legal, and he’ll start citing past contested conventions, and even bring up how Lincoln was elected on the 5th ballot. I garuntee you’ll be hearing those words from Cruz by the end of the month.

Not embarrassed, bewildered and confused as to how any conservatives who aren’t sucked into the main stream media’s bought and paid for narratives, can possible see Cruz as anything other than an establishment tool to keep the elites in power. Trump is the wrecking ball that many of us have been waiting for to knock down the corrupt power structure of Washington DC.

Do you know what the definition of an “insider” is? By your comments, you don’t have a clue. Time to head back to the water.

An insider is someone who gives money to entrenched politicians for selfish gains. That definition fits Donald Trump to a "T". It also fits his new man Paul Manafort.

BTW, what happened to Trump's "loyalty" to Corey Lewandowski? Just another chump by used by Trump and discarded when no longer needed.

"Manafort is a GOPe lobbyist (Ford, Dole, the Bushes)....looks like Donnie is steering hard to the center left...."

If you have brain surgery, would you care if your professional and highly-experienced brain specialist had operated on the heads of Ford, Dole and the Bushes prior to yours?.....would you refuse his services?

Manafort is a professional and a highly-experienced delegate specialist. Should Trump not engage the best in his field, also? Should he refuse his services?

(You are so muddled that I suspect, in your case, the above brain surgery question would probably never even arise for obvious reasons).

That is exactly what Cruz supporters have been saying about the people who work for and support Sen. Cruz. It is the tRump supporters who have continuosly stuck the label of “Insider” on Sen. Cruz because he doesn’t denounce their support.

What is true about Sen. Cruz is also true about the Donald.

You don’t get the difference between a buyer and a seller. An insider is a seller of influence, connections, etc. Trump has been a buyer. He’s never been an insider. Cruz has ONLY been an insider.

Trumpsters have been telling us for months that Cruz using experienced political consultants proves he is GOPe.

Goose, meet gander.

It was not an issue until Trump supporters made it an issue.

Wow,

Just a week ago Cruz supporters were attacking Trump for not firing this man when he was indicted,, now Trump is bad because he got a new guy for this phase of the campaign.

These posts are not exchanges about candidates any more. it is all useless gotchas and debating points.

The reality is that though we may passionately feel our particular candidate is the best, neither guy really has a shot without the other. It is time for both sides to face that and start some kind or reconciliation. the alternative is a third candidate or Hillary.

I recall a time last fall when the Trump and Cruz folks were pretty friendly towards each other.

Trying to change the definition to protect your man Trump is not working.

Those giving the money and accepting the money in the crony system are both insiders. The buyer is buying influence and access for personal gain. They are the ones who feed the corrupt system and allow it to continue.

Slimy Donald can’t wash the stench of crony corruption from his $5000 suits.

The Cruznoids are coming unglued the last few days.

Desperation is sinking in. Ted will be numerically eliminated on the 19th.

Now, how do they keep Trump under 5% the rest of the way?

LOL. Look at them. They’re becoming a melted blob on the floor.

Some of the stuff on the forum today is mind-numbing it’s so pathetic.

You clearly don't get how Washington works. Without sellers, there are no buyers. Cruz, McCain, Graham, Obama, Clinton....are all the same.

As a businessman, go sit down with lobbyists and then come back and tell me all about this "system."

I have and it ain't pretty. It's legal but not pretty. And if your hooker-buying-dominionist was so "clean" he wouldn't be cozied up to every establishment toy out there.

For months the Trump supporters have being trying to paint Cruz as some kind of leftist insider with no morals who will do or say anything to win. We’re tired of FR being used to trash one of the most conservative persons to ever serve in the Senate. You can see exactly the same kind of attacks against Cruz on leftist sites. Something is not right.

Cruz supporters are going to continue to fight back. All we do is use Trump’s verbatim comments supporting liberal/Democrat positions and in return we get made-up sleaze and could-have-been shadowy fiction about Cruz and his wife and family.

Typical Trump style attack.

Trump brags about his adultery- it’s a fact he admits to. In response Trump supporters attack Cruz using unsubstantiated fiction from a leftist sleaze rag.

Trump brags about his support for the Clintons - at the same time Cruz was working for the Bush Administration. Trump supporters attack Cruz.

Trump invents the term “New York values” to defend his support for partial birth abortion, and when pro-life Cruz points this out he attacked by Trump supporters.

The suspension of logic needed for a conservative to support Trump over Cruz is mind boggling.
