Is Senator Ted Cruz an outsider or establishment presidential candidate?
Undercover Porcupine ^ | 3/13/16 | Chris Dixon

Reading the headline might leave some in disbelief for different reasons. Is Senator Ted Cruz an outsider? He’s a first term United States Senator who has alienated everyone and has yet to secure a single Senate endorsement. Businessman Donald Trump even has more Senate endorsements than him. How much clearer of an outsider definition can that get?

Valid, to a degree, but there’s more to the story at this point. Senator Cruz’s background in politics extends a lot further back than his rookie Senate career. To be clearer, it extends back more than a decade and a half, when he joined the presidential campaign of George W. Bush in 1999. As a member of the Bush 2000 presidential campaign, he was a domestic policy advisor to the then-Texas Governor. Senator Cruz was later responsible for helping assemble Bush’s legal team, which included John Roberts.

Fast forward to the present day.

“How can he be and insider when he wa backed by the Tea party and Sarah palin?”

Can’t speak for Palin, but Rubio certainly had NO PROBLEM double-crossing the Tea Party./

You don’t know who Chad Sweet is but you blindly say that Ted Cruz can’t be an insider.

Perhaps you should may more attention to those you support. Look him up.

“Rubio, Kasich and Cruz need to get the hell behind the First Ammendment. They are demonstrating in real time why conservatives mistrust the electeed Republican party for theur continual betrayal of Constitutional principles.”

Very well stated (entire posting). The above would call into question just how much they’d defend the Second Amendment, also.

Not surprised you are confused. You haven’t done due diligence on Ted if you don’t know the identity of Chad Sweet and his relation to the campaign..this one and the one for Senator.

Why would you think of having a beer with bush than me.

The question was do you have no problem with Bush?

If you vote based on who you would have a beer with then is it any wonder why people like the Bush family take you for granted and laugh at you for being so slow on who they really are.

There is a contingent of Trump Derangement Syndrone folks here at FR. They would disparage their mother if she said anything that wasn’t glowing about their Chosen One. Cruz is an intelligent, strongly conservative, deeply Christian man who happens to be running against Trump. Trump, on the other hand is a rude, crude, marginally religious, obnoxious, marginally conservative deal maker. But he has thrown red meat to the crowd and many have become enamored with it.

Such is the state of FR..it is sad.

Right, he supported TPA because although he doesn’t support TPP, he generally supports free trade. Everyone sees the difference.

what would Goldman Sachs do?
