Is the violence at Trump's Chicago rally a campaign game-changer?
American Thinker ^ | March 12, 2016 | Rick Moran

Posted on 03/12/2016 2:51:31 PM PST by Kaslin

The violence last night in Chicago that resulted in the cancelation of a Donald Trump campaign rally won't affect the votes of the candidate's most ardent supporters – or opponents.

But there are a lot of voters who want to support Trump but aren't sure about him. Then there are voters who lean against supporting Trump but who are persuadable. It is those two classes of voters who could turn this GOP primary campaign on a dime and either give Trump a runaway victory or lead to a loss of support that would hand Ted Cruz a golden opportunity to run off a string of primary wins.

Which way these voters go will depend on their perception of what happened in Chicago and whether Trump himself is responsible for the violence.

“Get informed before you make a fool out of yourself”

Do you really have to be so abusive and nasty to so many posters here, or can you simply not help yourself?

Cruz is done. Tuesday will see him rue this baring of his character.

I thought he was an honorable man who knew the difference between right & wrong. I had hopes he would be a suitable replacement for Trump if he should falter.

He doesn’t & he isn’t.

He has sided with Obama & Co.: Violence & intimidation are justified to silence the opposition & restrict their rights.

Buh bye Ted.

Note to the Left & its enablers: You wrote the “rule” book. Don’t be surprised when it is used against you, every damn page of it, by President Trump.

It’s a tough call, but sometimes it turns out it is warranted.

I’m sure Moveon organized the protest. But with certain campaigns being known for paying supporters do you think it’s possible that some “protesters” have found more than one revenue stream? Could be anybody.

Moveon is going to to this to any republican candidate. Their purpose is to get Hillary Rodham Clinton or Bernie Sanders elected

If that were true it would be a huge indicator of things to come.

Never thought I’d day this about Malcolm X but he was right on there. Great quote and how little things have changed. I think the media is angry that Trump had bypassed them and shrugged off their attacks making them more transparently rabid than ever, especially Republican stooges. He is certainly rough around the edges and is a totally different breed of politician. He is the only candidate that isn’t beholden to special interests, cares about illegal immigration, sticks up for working class Americans, and last but not least Truly Loves this Country. He’s a true American unlike the Cuban backstabbing crooked Senators. Those two have completely ruined their reputation with nearly 80% of the party each, respectively. And this is based on their math.

“And if the thugs keep it up, they will ensure Trump’s election.”

I’ll go you one better - I can tell everyone that when the racist Holder sent his fascist goons to South Carolina to start riots, they were arrested under the state’s anti-klan law and sentenced to 10 to 30 years in state prison.

It’s time for America to stand up and not be manipulated by those who behave violently.

“He’s on the wrong side. Usually a good guy. It’s got to be disappointing”

I understand. I was an early Cruz supporter, and went through all the stages leading to the inevitable ‘acceptance’ stage, all by myself.

To say I was disappointed with Ted, is putting it mildly. I also voted to send him to Washington in the first place, and donated to his presidential campaign multiple times.

Lots of decent, trusting folks, are just now having their bubbles burst. Some have even voted for Ted in their state’s primary.

Ted already had a nearly impossible battle ahead of him in this race, but he just made it even harder. At this point, he can only strategize with the others about how to deny Trump the nomination, which it appears he’s doing.

I can only imagine how some of his more prominent supporters must be feeling right now. I’m sure a lot of them see him as quickly becoming politically radioactive.
