Is the violence at Trump's Chicago rally a campaign game-changer?
American Thinker ^ | March 12, 2016 | Rick Moran

Posted on 03/12/2016 2:51:31 PM PST by Kaslin

The violence last night in Chicago that resulted in the cancelation of a Donald Trump campaign rally won't affect the votes of the candidate's most ardent supporters – or opponents.

But there are a lot of voters who want to support Trump but aren't sure about him. Then there are voters who lean against supporting Trump but who are persuadable. It is those two classes of voters who could turn this GOP primary campaign on a dime and either give Trump a runaway victory or lead to a loss of support that would hand Ted Cruz a golden opportunity to run off a string of primary wins.

Which way these voters go will depend on their perception of what happened in Chicago and whether Trump himself is responsible for the violence.

There’s a claim that 25% of Cruz’s Twitter followers have un-followed him.

Sounds to me like he’s losing a lot of voters.

And I don’t think they’re going to Rubio or Kasich.

I JUST posted this on another thread.

People saw what they saw and have also seen the other candidates reaction.

I guess we’ll see on Tuesday whether the coordinated attacks on Trump this past week have been successful

“Which way these voters go will depend on their perception of what happened in Chicago and whether Trump himself is responsible for the violence.”

Ask yourself if Trump supporters went to Hitlery’s rallies, and disrupted it violently, who would they blame?

I know an author who can’t get published at American Thinker these days because they are pro-Trump or anti-establishment pieces.

The culprit promoting violence is the media. Nothing Trump has said comes close to the vitriol these people are spewing on Trump.

But alas, AT has gone to the dark side.

Yes, it is a game changer but not in the way that the disrupters believe. Other Republicans - including Ted Cruz - just handed Trump the nomination by blaming Trump for the leftists’ thuggish behavior. And if the thugs keep it up, they will ensure Trump’s election.

You have to be very stupid to think this will hurt Trump.

Cruz tried one sleazy lawyer trick too many, the old Obama dodge of “there’s no excuse” followed by an excuse and blaming the victim. DetesTed!

Yep.
It will depend on how the media can ‘frame’ the violence of the hoods.

“The media’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.”

Black Lives Matter disrupted rallies for Sanders and Clinton. Sanders was forced off stage. Are we asking what they did to provoke it or whether it hurt their campaigns?

I wasn't going to vote for him. I don't like him, but I don't like those feral rioters worse. Totally blocked Trump's free speech; he didn't have to back down but he made the right call. It was a game changer for me.

And Obama is out stirring up trouble again, Trump, bashing his wine and steaks. I'm here to bash Obama's wagyu.

I'm just mad today, hope I get over it.
