Trump has said the issues are currency manipulation and those countries whose goods we accept having to accept our goods on the same terms. "free trade" was always supposed to have "fair trade" safeguards. Another issue was supposed to be that workers in all countries were supposed to have life sustaining wages and safe non-exploitive working conditions.

I don't agree with him on that. Labor costs are a small percentage of the cost of producing a unit of product. What determines where a company manufactures a product is taxes and regulation, those are the big costs. Lower our taxes and regulation here and our companies won't have to worry about third-world working conditions because they'll be able to stay here.

Trump is under no illusion that everyone will like him. That isn’t possible, and NO Cruz won’t become Reagan like. He has already sold out to the establishment and the Bushes, not to mention the lobbyists and Wall Street. He will NEVER be like Reagan - NEVER! Can you see RR doing this>

Sold out to the Bushes? Not another "Bushes want to rule the world" conspiracist.

If labor is such a small part of the cost, why shouldn't we demand that workers aren't exploited? I just cannot accept that either I save a few dollars or someone in the supply chain between worker and consumer makes huge profits while workers are exploited.

As a conservative Republican, I support totally the opportunity for workers to rise to a middle class existence. It's the only way freedom can prevail. How is it okay to not demand that as a condition of trade with the US?

“..allows those who are here illegally to come in out of the shadows. “

They are not even in the shadows.

Reagan gave amnesty, with the promise that a fence would be built. It NEVER HAPPENED.

imo, we SHOULD NOT EVEN BE DISCUSSING ANY KIND OF AMNESTY, one way or another, UNTIL THE FENCE IS BUILT!

Border security = National security

Huh? Reagan conservatives are overcome by the rapture fraud? News to me. I'm a Reagan conservative and there will be no rapture. Jesus says He will be very happy when he returns that we already have the fire of truth lit. We need a true conservative to get that going.

Cruz and some of his evangelicals are rapture bound.

This is what a LEADER does.

Wouldn’t you want a man like this in the White House?

“Defended the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds,
Defended the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools ..”

excerpt http://www.youngcons.com/ted-cruzs-resume-is-very-impressive-should-make-him-standout-amongst-other-candidates/

Meanwhile, Planned Parethood thanks Donald Trump for his “kind words.”

Who do you want picking judges that would defend our Constitutional rights to religious freedom, incluidng HHS mandate which forces religions to carry abortion-inducing drugs with their insurance.

Ah, actually it was US Attorney John Ashcroft who argued successfully for the right of the individual to keep and bear arms.

Do you want to know what is FIRST in Cruz’s immigration plan?

“1. Secure the Border”

more: https://www.tedcruz.org/cruz-immigration-plan/

It works for me. I wish Reagan, whom I love, did not trust the left, and secured the border FIRST.

Ashcroft was a fine man, and I’m not taking anything away from him.

But don’t take anything away from Ted Cruz. I provided two links: one link to you personally; another in the OP.

How about providing an EXCERPT and LINK yourself, so we know what you are talking about.

“Unlike Obama, Cruz didn’t seat in the U.S. Senate and vote “present.” He has sponsored 97 bills. Here are a few crucial pieces of legislation sponsored by Cruz:

ObamaCare Repeal Act
Prohibit use of drones from killing citizens of the United States within the United States
Disarm Criminals and Protect Communities Act
Firearm Straw Purchasing and Trafficking Prevention Act
Defund Obamacare Act of 2013
A bill to amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to permit States to require proof of citizenship for registration to vote in elections for Federal office”

Look up the history of Bill’s presidency and his attempt to overturn the 2A.

What does it have to do with what Ted Cruz did, including D.C. vs. Heller?

“.. the LANDMARK case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz assembled a coalition of 31 states in defense of the principle that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms” (emphasis mine)

Cruz has been saying ‘secure’ the border for quite some time. Next step: legalization. Here is Cruz’ tweet on the subject:

9:37 AM - 19 Jun 2013
We need to secure the border. Any bill this body passes should have border security first & then legalization. Not the other way around.

Here’s a tip: Calling people stupid makes them even less likely to ever support Cruz under any circumstances.

"Stupid" is different than low educated. Trump himself has said he "love[s] the poorly educated" (his words). If that's not enough of an insult to get Trump supporters to change their mind, then nothing would be.

Trump loves the poorly educated because they do not realize that his trade wars will cost them jobs and raise the prices at Walmart, the auto parts stores, and everywhere else. Trump's chumps deserve a bad President but fortunately the rest of us outnumber them.
