Don’t Let Your Pastor Politicize You
CANada Free Press ^ | 03/08/16 | Judi McLeod

Become a Nomad for Christ: NEVER let political pastors be the cause of YOU losing YOUR faith. Better they should lose theirs than yours

If you are one of the faithful still going to church on Sunday, don’t be the fertile ground that lets your pastor politicize you.

Even if it’s only for the sake of situational awareness, take stake of what is happening in many of the mainline churches, whose pastors have become the latest breed of political activists, trading the Gospel of Christ for politics, all for the 30 pieces of silver called government grants.

Political activists at the pulpit, derelict in duty, have conveniently forgotten that it is the souls and not the politics of the faithful that need saving.

If a Pastor preaches the full counsel of God then politics have no place. The Christian will know how to vote.

Too late. My libtard church leans left and kisses illegal alien ass with their trilingual mass which is filipino, English and mex. No wonder i get headaches. I dont remember the Lord preaching 3 languages to the flock to appease each one of them...

Several years ago, I walked out of a Presbyterian Church when the minister began speaking on the Vietnam War and we veterans...He said that it was an unjust war and we who participated were going to Hell...No doubt about it...

he came out to my car after the service and asked why I walked out...I just said I was a veteran. He just turned and walked away...

I never went back.

Word!
Don’t allow anybody to tell you what the Bible said.
Read it! Read a vintage copy that hasn’t been tampered with!

I agree with that for the most part.

If a pastor is a ‘through-the-bible’ type of preacher, then there are passages that are clearly political.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

That was not exactly the practice followed by preachers during the Revolutionary War and I’m glad for it.

If a pastor’s sermon necessarily relates about the current condition of people’s hearts and the increasing evil in the world, I don’t see how he can avoid stepping into the realm of politics. Evil is now legislatively sanctioned and governments openly practice it.

I agree on 1 hand. On the other hand, if pastor preaches the bible and refences the ungodly and unjust crimes and sins being committed in society today; there is othing wrong with that.
In fact it infuriates me more that conservative denominations do not even mention the evil all around us. As if allike we have to do is pray and read our bible and everything will be ok. No! God created us to be His! And He is a God of action!

Several years ago we did a Methodist experiment at the behest of friends and because the nearest Baptist was a bit farther to drive. After a while and investigating where the money went and hearing the sermons we ran back to the Baptist Church and will not worry about mileage anymore.

Without pastors preaching liberty from the pulpit there is no American Revolution.

The problem today is culture has declared some things political when they are Biblical. Abortion isn't political, it's murder. Sodomy is an abomination and has been for 5000 years. People threw their babies in the fires of Molech way before the Dems thought of it. Fornication is not "hooking up".

I've had young people tell me they are going to sleep with their boyfriends next Friday night and would I pray for them to fall in love. This is people in our church youth program. You should see the strange look when you tell them they shouldn't do that before marriage. They ask, then what are you supposed to do? We teach the Bible on the weekend, but TV, school, culture, movies, and Facebook tell them we are idiots and just look at your friends. If they haven't gotten pregnant or an STD by the time they are in 10th grade, they think they are freaks.

These topics aren't political, but it's gone waaaay past that today. If you declare abortion political, you get complaints when it's brought up from the pulpit. We have 3or4 homosexuals in the youth but they call you homophobic if you say something. They are all conditioned to shut down the conversation even to the point of lawsuits.

Kim Davis in jail is just the tip of the iceberg that is headed for the church. We recently stopped all weddings at our church to prevent a member asking for the pastor to marry them. Our requirements to become a member of the church now states we must see Christian fruit in their lives to be voted a member, otherwise you are just a visitor for 30 years.

So far we are OK, but some day there will be a sodomite that wants to push the issue and the law will be on their side. I don't even think giving up the 501c3 will fix the problem. The bakery wasn't a 501c3.
