Trevor Loudon was in town a few months ago. I and a couple of dozen other people attended his talk. My first concern about him was that his use of the word "communist" every few seconds made him sound like a parody. Then he blew his credibility with me to smithereens when he suggested his ideal Cabinet, including David Barton for Secretary of Education.

Cruz is apparently right about his supporters having a room temperature IQ.

One of them told me-

“Ted Cruz voted against the final bill, too”

They don’t seem to know anything.

“Are you a walking ,talking mouthpiece?, or are you going to post facts to support the crap you post?”

In other words, you are going to use disrespectful and scatalogical language to distract attention away from the invalidity of your argument and pretend I have not already refuted Ted Cruz’s false claims of natural born citizenship with legal citations in many hundreds of previous posts on FR. Ted Cruz was born abroad with Canadian citizenship and a foreign citizen father, which makes it impossible for Ted Cruz to acquire U.S. citizenship by any means other than naturalization through the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1952; United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649, 18 S.Ct. 456, 42 L.Ed. “A person born out of the jurisdiction of the United States can only become a citizen by being naturalized....”

Wow, you used oversized font, you must really know what youre talkng about

Anyways, I did get vapor locked, I am more used to explaining TPP than this one, but, to remind you, the answer is still the same, Ted voted for it first in the initial draft to see some things work out, and then against it in the end to prevent it

Sad that you didnt look that up to ...explain it...using all caps and oversized font

maybe red font next time

and I mis-spoke again, I guess I was blinded by your caps and oversized font

but, Cruz was against it and spoke against it later last fall, saying he voted against it would be innacurate

I used over sized font because it is really rather ironic being called stupid names by someone who doesn’t know what they are talking about.

Trump supporters aren’t idiots. They are not idiots because they do not agree with you or support your candidate.

Trump supporters generally support Trump because they are sick and tired of the BS that goes in in Washington, and the Corker Bill and Ted Cruz’s vote for it, and everyone else’s vote for it, are most certainly part of that BS.

Now that you understand what bill I was referring to, I am not going to hold your initial misunderstanding against you. People make mistakes, that’s cool, I make mistakes too.

But I will ask you this question.

I see that you have probably looked through Cruz’s explanations of why he voted for the Corker bill.

If you were the GOP senator from Texas, would you have voted for the Corker Bill?

I would not have voted for anything at any time to support iran

So, what did TRUMP say when the bill was introduced and voted on last spring?
CRUZ wants to get rid of it, yet TRUMP WANTS TO KEEP IT

WE CAN THANK BOB CORKER FOR RATIFYING OBAMA’S IRAN DEAL
By Aaron Goldstein on 9.2.15 | 3:44PMSmallerLargerPrint Article
As Emily noted earlier today, Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski became the 34th Democrat to announce intention of supporting the Iran nuclear agreement.

Over at Commentary, Jonathan S. Tobin argues that Democrats now own Iran and will rue this day:

But what this means is that every act of Iranian terror, every instance of Hamas and Hezbollah using Iranian funds and material to wage war against Israel or moves against Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states must now be seen as having been enabled not just by Obama but also by his party.

Unfortunately, a point that Tobin acknowledges, Republicans own Iran as well, namely Bob Corker. If it were not for the Corker bill passed last spring, Mikulski’s yes vote would not matter. As NRO’s Andy McCarthy argued at the time:

To summarize, the Constitution puts the onus on the president to find 67 Senate votes to approve an international agreement, making it virtually impossible to ratify an ill-advised deal. The Corker bill puts the onus on Congress to muster 67 votes to block an agreement.

Under the Constitution, Obama’s Iran deal would not have a prayer. Under the Corker bill, it would sail through. And once again, it would be Republicans first ensuring that self-destruction is imposed on us, then striking the pose of dogged opponents by casting futile nay votes.

Well, self-destruction is now ready to be imposed. It’s things like this that get Republicans called the Stupid Party. It’s things like this make Republican voters turn to Donald Trump. The problem is that Trump said last month that he would keep the deal with the vow to “police” it. Policed by whom? UN inspectors? Our troops? A congressional delegation led by Bob Corker? By the way, this is the same Trump who implored President Bush to negotiate with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad back in 2007.

That same year, as he launched his presidential campaign, Barack Obama argued that negotiating with Iran was like Reagan negotiating with the Soviets. Except that the Soviets had Mikhail Gorbachev (and, of course, we had Reagan). Where is Iran’s Gorbachev? If anyone thinks Rouhani is a Persian Gorby, they are sadly mistaken.

The point here is that negotiating a deal, nuclear or otherwise, with the Iranian regime in its present form, is a fool’s errand. The foolishness begins and ends with President Obama. Unfortunately, he was aided and abetted by Bob Corker.

RaceBannon, you are trying way too hard to continue to make a fool of yourself.

Cruz didn’t want to get rid of it, he voted for it. He voted for it, because he was for it. That is why people vote for things, because they are for those things.

He was allowed to vote against the Corker Bill in cloture, because they already had enough votes for it to pass. That is what a “safe” no vote is. Is a dog and pony show.

You are believing lies purposely constructed to make people like you believe people are on your side when they are not. It’s false opposition, kabuki theater. It’s the MO of the GOP.

Now you are telling me that I don’t know what I’m talking about because my guy defended it... BUT YOUR GUY VOTED IT INTO LAW!

And as such, it shall remain. A president just can’t come in and toss out whatever law he wants, unless his name is Obama, he HAS TO keep it and work with it unless it is repealed, because Ted Cruz and every other traitor in the senate except for Cotton gave it to us, and then Obama signed it into law.

And the best part of the Corker Bill is that it not only gave the GOP cover to pretend it was against the Iran deal when it was obviously for it, it gives them cover to do that on any other deal any other president chooses to make with anyone, because it illegally flipped the Senate Treaty Provision on its head FOREVER.

Does that sound like something a consistent constitutional conservative would do? It doesn’t to me. It sounds like something a government employed co-conspirator would do.

And I do not believe for one second that Ted Cruz voted to pass this thing that gives them a chance to stop this Iran deal when all the senate had to do to stop the Iran deal was NOTHING. That’s right, taking no action at all would have defeated it. Just stand there with your finger in your nose and you win.

But they didn’t do that, because they didn’t want to win. What they wanted to do is make you and me think that they wanted to win, but they just couldn’t muster enough votes to do it.

Kabuki theater, and Ted Cruz is an actor in that theater. They all are.

And that, RaceBannon, is the truth.

I believe you when you say you wouldn’t have voted for anything at the time that would have supported Iran, and neither would have I, or any other sane person.

I would have expected the same of Cruz, whom I supported at the time of this vote, and I was shocked that he voted for this. Shocked.

This was a betrayal to Americans, the Constitution, and if Iran ever gets a nuke and launches it, it was a betrayal of Humankind.

Your guy MADE IT LAW.

Your guy gave my guy NO CHOICE BUT TO KEEP IT.

Don’t make me have to use giant font again, Race.

Look, I have done my best to explain to you the damage that was done by that bill and those who supported it, which was every single person in the senate except Tom Cotton who voted no, and Boxer who was absent.

If you want to support a person to be president that inflicted this sort of damage on our country, then that is your choice.

I am not going to believe his lies, or your feeble attempts to rationalize his lies.
