Do you know how the Supreme Court works?
I want to try to give Bernie Sanders the benefit of the doubt here, but heâs not making it easy. Maybe he just meant that some case will inevitably be on the docket involving Citizens United, since liberals have rarely been more incensed about anything. Maybe he just meant, er . . . help me here, I really donât know how to explain this one away. It really sounds to me like the guy, who is after all a United States Senator, has no earthly idea how the Supreme Court works:
Any Supreme Court nominee of mine will make overturning Citizens United one of their first decisions. â Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) January 22, 2016
(In case your browser isnât showing the embedded tweet for some reason, Sanders said, âAny Supreme Court nominee of mine will make overturning Citizens United one of their first decisions.â)
So he thinks the government should ban books?
Help me out. Isn’t Citizens United a liberal group that tries to ban any religious displays by any government?
And he also thinks judges should makes deals in advance about how they will vote in a case. Interesting. I have been told in the past that this is very very bad.
Bernie was comparing student loans to mortgages recently and could not comprehend the difference between secured and unsecured debt. Bernie is a moron and a communist. But I repeat myself.

Actually, in a strange sort of way, he’s displaying a small streak of cleverness.
Clearly Sanders understands at some level that his core constituency is made up almost exclusively of people who are dumber than a box of rocks. After all, he needs to rope in a whole lot of Obama voters, and we all know that most Obama voters have IQs roughly similar to their shoe size. So he knows instinctively that whatever BS he dishes out, they’ll lap it up as if it were chocolate.
Ya know, youre right on target. His ads here are completely directed to the ‘dumber than a rock’ type. Theyre short and very convincing if you dont bother to think (even a little). Im pretty sure he’s going to do very well on primary day.
Given this its hard to imagine a group dull enough to send Burnie to DC even once. However, the eletorate of VT did that and much more.
The future of this nation hinges on the outcome of this election because of the opportunity to appoint new judges.
It’s like the Gieco commercial: That’s not how this works! That’s not how any of this works!
Ah yeesss.....the old litmus test....

No. The group you’re thinking of is “Americans United for Separation of Church and State.”
Thanks, I looked it up
“The United States Supreme Court held that the First Amendment prohibited the government from restricting independent political expenditures by a nonprofit corporation. The principles articulated by the Supreme Court in the case have also been extended to for-profit corporations, labor unions and other associations.”
I think Bernie Sanders picks would cause the dead to turnover.
Bernie is a commie.
Citizens United v. FEC was a 5-4 decision, so if there is an upcoming conflicting case, perhaps it will matter who has been doing the appointing.
I thought we weren’t supposed to have a litmus test.
Will it also overturn union donations???
