Rick Perry just endorsed Ted Cruz and I posted that news in a thread this morning. It's gotten over 100 comments.
On it I posted Rick Perry's comment in defense of Ted Cruz about the "New York Values" dust-up [Comment #84 at the link above].
[Rick Perry: "...."Mr. Trump took umbrage by Ted Cruz talking about New York values, and, you know, became very serious about - as we all were - what happened on September the 11th of 2001," he said. "We were all New Yorkers that day - don't get confused with that, but you know, I would hope there's enough humor in that person to understand that, hey listen, we all make fun of New York," he said. "I mean, come on, 'New York City? Get a rope.' Remember that ad, for the picante sauce?"]
I also posted a picture [Comment #52] of Rick Perry and Ted Cruz together at Fort Hood [Texas] in 2009 after Major Nidal Hasan in a terrorist attack left 13 Americans dead and 30 Americans seriously injured - the attack that Obama and his supporters called "workplace violence."
That Fort Hood picture, and Perry's comment defending Cruz on the "NYC Values" thing and the way it was reframed by Donald Trump and his campaign around the 9-11 attack on the Twin Towers - those 2 events - got me to wondering, did Donald Trump ever come out in support of Texas, the soldiers and/or denounce that terrorist act and the actions taken by the administration?
And is that a fair question to ask?
If Rupert Murdoch or Bill Gates were running for President, then, yes, their past politiccal stances would matter.
The people here asking questions about Trump’s political past ask the same questions about a lot of candidates and appointment nominees.
Stop playing the victim card.
He did when he expressed the common rustration with Zero still calling it workplace violence in 2012 on twitter.
..Fort Hood shooting should be declared a terror attack. Respect the wounded and dead.

A quick search would have found that.

“Has Trump ever said anything about supporting and defending the U.S. Constitution?”
It would probably be included under the “Make America Great Again” heading.
That is a bogus issue. I have observed intently presidential campaigns since 1980.
Candidates don’t generally run around the country talking about defending the Constitution. I can’t remember a single candidate doing that. It has always been considered a given.
I read that George W. Bush would slam the Constitution in private while in office.
Reagan campaigned on three issues: build up the armed forces, reduce taxes and cut spending, and roll back government regulations. He did all three. I don’t remember him campaigning on the Constitution. He didn’t have to.
Do you have a link?
Thank you.
In fact he talked about it at this rally in Texas not too long ago.
I did search online but I don’t “tweet” or Facebook so it was an honest question.
I look for articles with quotes; who knows who’s sending out a short “tweet.”
?
Nobody is saying Trump is an ideal conservative.
OTOH, Cruz supporters insist he is the only Principled Conservative (TM) in the race and are totally incurious to anything that might go against that dogma.
It’s called TEXAS.....duh
I just googled Trump fort Hood shootings. Here’s the link

Cruz and Perry talk about terrorist attacks against the country also, including 9-11.
Rick Perry, a veteran, is a well known supporter of our armed forces, including his hard work and advocacy for our wounded men and women.
21 Oct 2012: "Fort Hood shooting should be declared a terror attack. Respect the wounded and dead."
7 Aug 2013 : "Ft. Hood Jihadi Nidal Hassan has been paid over $300g in Army salary while on trial. His victims are deprived of any benefits..."
Thank you.
He did it in 2012 though - the shooting happened in 2009.
Comments at your “twitter” source reflect that, saying he’s being opportunistic.
...comments say that he was being opportunistic...
I guess you missed the comment from a a Ft.Hood soldier victims wife thanking him for the post. Com’mon now
Fort Hood shooting should be declared a terror attack. Respect the wounded and dead.
Also in his stump speeches, Trump is always saying that "no gun zones" in our military installations is ridiculous and that our well-trained soldiers should have the means to defend themselves on their own bases.
So I'm afraid you are going to have to keep digging.
After a Tape where Cruz purposely bashes Trump and Trump responds and in a week he is down 11 Points.
that wasn’t a bash..it was a strategy just like trump has a strategy...jeesh you trump people are crazy
Is this a fair question? Did Ted Cruz denounce clubbing baby seals?
Maybe you should have googled it before you asked.
In about a month, we won’t have to worry about posts like this because it’ll be over but the crying.
Cruz winning or Trump winning, either way....I’m good.
