Rick Perry just endorsed Ted Cruz and I posted that news in a thread this morning. It's gotten over 100 comments.
On it I posted Rick Perry's comment in defense of Ted Cruz about the "New York Values" dust-up [Comment #84 at the link above].
[Rick Perry: "...."Mr. Trump took umbrage by Ted Cruz talking about New York values, and, you know, became very serious about - as we all were - what happened on September the 11th of 2001," he said. "We were all New Yorkers that day - don't get confused with that, but you know, I would hope there's enough humor in that person to understand that, hey listen, we all make fun of New York," he said. "I mean, come on, 'New York City? Get a rope.' Remember that ad, for the picante sauce?"]
I also posted a picture [Comment #52] of Rick Perry and Ted Cruz together at Fort Hood [Texas] in 2009 after Major Nidal Hasan in a terrorist attack left 13 Americans dead and 30 Americans seriously injured - the attack that Obama and his supporters called "workplace violence."
That Fort Hood picture, and Perry's comment defending Cruz on the "NYC Values" thing and the way it was reframed by Donald Trump and his campaign around the 9-11 attack on the Twin Towers - those 2 events - got me to wondering, did Donald Trump ever come out in support of Texas, the soldiers and/or denounce that terrorist act and the actions taken by the administration?
And is that a fair question to ask?
Who cares about this stuff? Not I.
Do you care about ethanol cronyism?
Do you care about defending McConnell?
Do you care about anything intellectual?
A: obviously not.
“Fort Hood shooting should be declared a terror attack. Respect the wounded and dead.”—Donald Trump, 10-21-2012 (from Twitter)
It’s pretty easy for two texas politicians to stand out and support one another over the shooting in Fort Hood.
Where was Rupert Murdoch? Where was Bill Gates? Where was your family attorney? Where was your family doctor?
Is it unfair to ask? Don’t know. Is it relevant? No.
The Texas Two step.
Trump ran Perry out of the race in a week
After a Tape where Cruz purposely bashes Trump and Trump responds and in a week he is down 11 Points.
I guess he isn't the smartest one in the room?
He got zero endorsements out of Iowa even after giving Joanie Earnst cash for her Election
I think America in general denounced the Ft Hood shooting, except for the Obama Admin of course.
Donald Trump was a businessman at the time, and I’m not sure why anyone would have stuck a microphone in his face and recorded his response.
Has Trump ever said anything about supporting and defending the U.S. Constitution?
(I haven’t researched it. Just thinking.)
Yes... he said they should be deemed a terror attack.

Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who unjustly languished in a Mexican jail for 214 days, was given financial help by Mr. Trump so he could get back on his feet after his ordeal.
It's an example of Mr. Trump's true compassion and desire to help those in need. So, if he wasn't at Fort Hood, perhaps it's a case of you can't be everywhere.
Well, there you go again.
Unfair question. Trump was not in politics in 2009 as Perry and Cruz, his opinion was not asked and not volunteered.
You weren't supposed to find that.
I’m pleasantly surprised that Perry did this.

You’re off track, so let me help you refocus: did Trump denounce the Fort Hood shootings? Answer: you’ll be happy to know he did in 2012.

Nothing that I can tell.
Oops.
I suppose Cruz supporters are looking for when Trump endorsed the Ft. Hood shooting.
Do you care about ethanol cronyism?
Do you care about defending McConnell?
Do you care about anything intellectual?
A: obviously not.
Do you care Cruz dishonestly campaigned for Obama’s Legacy Trade agenda?
Do You care Cruz stuffed his pockets with $100,000 in campaign donations from Goldman Sachs then cast U. S. Senate votes in support of their lobbyist agenda?
Do you care Cruz wrote a Senate bill increasing the broken H-1B program by 500%?
Do you care Cruz has been endorsed by Glenn Beck and GOPe stalwart Rick Perry?
Do you care that Cruz himself was a mainline GOPe “conservative” careerist pre 2010 TEA revolution?
A: Obviously Not.
It's hard for you to follow or even connect the dots in your own little world of, "Hey, look over here. I'm important!"
