Personally, I was shocked when the "queen of conservatism" came out for Donald Trump. Phyllis Schafly has been a conservative icon for so long, and even though I've disagreed with her a couple times in the recent past, I was flabbergasted that she would pick somebody who openly declares that he doesn't see his need of asking God's forgiveness for anything. I realize she predicated her choice on what he claims to be his stand on immigrants, and how he says he will deal with the illegals. However, has she been listening to him or just reading what she wants to hear? He has flip-flopped on the issue so much as to make me throw up my hands and declare "What does he really intend to do...can somebody please explain it to me?" To one group it's this, to another, it's something else. That's not exactly what makes me feel secure about a person's stand on an issue, but with Trump, it doesn't seem to matter.
The other important issue is this. Who will he pick for the Supreme Court? That's THE critical issue that is not being talked about this cycle. Several currently serving are of age to pass on during the next few years. I do not see Trump choosing a conservative. He is not one, so why would he choose one? He is not for defunding Planned Parenthood. He is not a small government guy. He has no plan for anything realistically other than, "We're going to do this, it's going to be fun, and we'll get it done." That's policy? Sounds more like a coach before a kid's baseball game, not a presidential candidate laying out plans.
I feel that this year, 2016 is America's last chance at redemption. Franklin Graham is going to every state to hold a crusade and call for prayer/fasting for our country and this election. The very least we can do is pray and ask God who is the best choice to lead America back to a place where we are morally sound again. Wouldn't we want a real Christian to be that leader? Trump knows noting of the Bible. He doesn't think he needs to read it or live by it. True conservatives are those who see the big picture is more than fiscal conservatism or simply feeding the poor. It is being a leader to help get America back on moral grounds again, as well as leading in the other areas.
My prayer is that Americans wake up to the real battle going on for the souls of men everywhere. Satan is our Enemy and he is winning in America. Pastors have equated running for office with greed, avarice, ungodliness, etc. How do you elect godly men and women if you equate even the godly with he ungodly? Our forefathers never wanted to see the day when the founding principles would be thrown out, trashed, stomped on and godly people reviled. Pastors who shame people from voting will have blood on their hands. Christians who refuse to vote because Jesus is not running have blood on their hands. One can sin through omission as well as commission. Remember that.
A godly leader is marked by a servant attitude, transparent integrity, godly character; a good leader uses gracious words not speech that is like a scorching fire.
As good citizens we should not leave the operation of the government to ungodly men. How can we prevent that? One way is to use our vote wisely. We have the opportunity to vote in the primaries to choose a godly leader. This is an area that most (even Christians) fail at. We will be accountable before God as to how we voted...or not. When we could have done good and refused to, we give the enemy a foot int he door. You may be angry that you don't feel you had much choice, but there is still a choice. More of one if you join the few that actually do turn out for a primary vote. THAT is where YOU can make a big difference.
PLEASE vote in the primaries, and even if your candidate doesn't win, remember the consequences of staying home and letting Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton win.

Hmmm...I can’t find a previous FR user by that name. It only comes up as a keyword.
Are you sure that was your previous screen name? Why did you have to change s/n?
You didn’t answer how you are ‘more invested’ here than I am. How are you more invested?
safisoft Dec 2001.
LOL.
Why the name change?
How are you ‘more invested’??
Avoiding web search issues. There is a company by that name.
I agree with you on much of what you wrote. I’m sorry so many FReepers behave so badly.
Here you go again stalking people who disagree with you.
Gosh you are so entertaining.
So it’s ok to look at sign up dates and old posts? Or it’s not? Make up your mind already, lol.
Are you stalking her?
OMG!
You’re looking at past posting history? OMG!!!
Haha you continue to out yourself.
And all I have to do is look at your current posts. LMAO
SPOT ON!
She and her pals have been stalking me and taunting me with many years old posts.
“The very least we can do is pray and ask God who is the best choice to lead America back to a place where we are morally sound again.”
I prayed and asked God. He said “vote for Trump”.
Is it true you’re hot for Howard Stern? Oye! :-)
It’s her MO along with outright lying. She’s the definition of projection.
I find her entertaining at times. She brought a knife to a gunfight, lol.
She attacked me numerous times and I decided to fight back. She thought I’d roll over, lol. Her posts say it all.
I can't wait for November and to see Trump elected as this nation's next president! :-)
Checked what?
History and investments. Don’t see any.
Oh, that...yes, I agree.
The nic you are now posting under is from 2009, which isn't 15 years old !
My sign up is 1998, but I lurked for almost a year, before I dared to join and post. So in any event, I have been here far longer than you have and know exactly what FR has been like like for all of those many years.
I have been a Conservative since childhood and I'll put up my Conservatism against yours any day day of the week and twice on Sundays!
Your religion has less than NOTHING whatsoever to do with anything at all...not even the price of eggs in England! This nation is a Representative Republic; NOT a democracy nor a theocracy! We are a Christian-Judeo nation, however, there is NO religious clause in our Constitution demanding that our elected officials must be uber devout anything, nor that her people must be either. Hell, the Amish don't vote, but they are a very religious people, good citizens, and don't run for nor hold any elected office.
You are INSULTING Jim Robinson !
Never banned. How about you. Your problem isn’t anyone insulting JR (I haven’t, and would never), your problem is someone blaspheming your idol.
