A national poll from Emerson College (full pdf below) shows essentially the same results from recent polling organizations. Donald Trump with a significant lead at 36%, followed by Ted Cruz at 21% and Marco Rubio in third at 13%.
The sample sizes are small, but the results are consistent with larger poll samples (field narrowed to top nine polled results – and graphic adjusted accordingly):
(Methodology Extracted) The Emerson College Polling Society poll was conducted from Thursday, December 17 through Sunday, December 20, 2015.
The polling sample for the Democratic and GOP primaries consisted of 332 and 415 likely primary voters, respectively, with a margin of error of +/-5.3% and +/-4.8%, margin of error and 754 registered general election voters with a +/3.5%, and a 95% confidence level.
“A churning urn of burning funk”
So many polls, so many press releases.
Sounds like something a groundpounder would say. Are you a veteran?
“But it’s not the Iowa GOP primary caucus. That’s the only poll that matters.” /sarc
Jeb, Christie, and Rubio have a combined 25% (of these fudged numbers). I hope all three stay and keep the RINO vote divided for as long as possible.
The real question: as casual voters begin to pay attention over the next five weeks, where will the (mostly outsider and/or evangelical) Carson and Fiorina voters go, and where will the low information republicans coalesce?
It is looking like a three way race with Trump/Cruz/Rubio, but any of the three could break out or fade (yes, even Trump, and he is my second choice behind Cruz, but that is the reality of primaries).
LOL. Iowa is such a corny place.
roger that(he said with a 1 to 1 vibrating voice)
Agreed - they should stay in through the “Super Tuesday” at least. Your thoughts are right along with mine. Cruz/Trump. Rubio is not one of us.
Thank you for your service. Welcome Home.
To some, it’s not a corny place at all. Instead, they breathlessly declare: “It’s a place that will reset the election.” :)
Yeah, but now that Graham has dropped out, the whole thing is up for grabs... :)

What? No Huckabee, Santorum, Gilmore, Pataki?
The MOE is a little high but the spread is such that even if it were smaller by a point it wouldn’t bring Cruz to a competitive position. 15 points is 15 points.
Loved that JT song - especially live versions!!! Hopefully, leftists will experience...
I’m a napalm-bomb
Guaranteed to blow your mind
I’m a napalm-bomb
Guaranteed to blow your mind
If I can’t have your love now baby
There won’t be nothing left behind
Elvis Presley Lyrics
“Steamroller Blues”
I’m a steamroller baby
I’m ‘bout to roll all over you
I’m a steamroller baby
I’m ‘bout to roll all over you
I’m gonna inject your soul
With sweet rock’n’roll, poor heaven
I’m a cement mixer
A churning urn of burning funk
I’m a cement mixer
A churning urn of burning funk
A hefty hunk, steaming junk
I’m a steamroller baby
I’m ‘bout to roll over you
I’m a steamroller baby
I’m ‘bout to roll over you
I’m gonna inject your soul
With some sweet rock’n’roll
And shoot you full of rhythm and blues
I’m a napalm-bomb
Guaranteed to blow your mind
I’m a napalm-bomb
Guaranteed to blow your mind
If I can’t have your love now baby
There won’t be nothing left behind
Looks like Cruz got most of Carson’s support, which is good. Now Trump/Cruz/Carson are over 60% (and nearly 60% without Carson)...hard to see how anyone at the kiddie table can break that.
He’s John Kerry’s useful idiot. They can both go to hell, the treasonous scum.
