Beijing: The Chinese scientist behind the worldâs biggest cloning factory has technology advanced enough to replicate humans, he told AFP, and is only holding off for fear of the public reaction.
Boyalife Group and its partners are building the giant plant in the northern Chinese port of Tianjin, where it is due to go into production within the next seven months and aims for an output of one million cloned cows a year by 2020.
But cattle are only the beginning of chief executive Xu Xiaochunâs ambitions....

Ok,the world is heading into serious uncharted waters. Hard to image 50 to 100 years from now.

“Parts. The Clonus Horror” and its bad remake “The Island” were both bad executions of a more than intriguing concept: cloning yourself to have spare parts available — you could theoretically live forever.
You can pass laws until the cows come home but human cloning was/is inevitable.

So does China need factories to produce people, I think they have a pretty good track record of doing it the old fashioned way.

The technical hurdle is NOT the gene editing or cloning.
The problem is carrying to term.
For primates the efficiency is like 1% or less...?
For a human it would probably be LESS.

There was interracial marriage, then gay marriage.
How will societies that are okay with those shut-down human cloning..?
And then there is the fact that 55 million humans have died from abortion, just since Roe vs. Wade.
They won’t be able to stop human cloning, not over the long-term.
I’m not taking a position here on those first three, I just don’t see the moral tools in place to stop this.
Not that I want it.

I support the Cloning of Lydia. Clone lives matter! Celebrate diversity. If the Chinese have to do it, so be it.
They can all come live with me. I care.

See, Norm is always willing to take one for the team. Diversity is close to his heart, so the inconvenience is brushed aside.

The eyes are the hardest part to clone, and they have already got that figured out.
To: Norm Lenhart
I admire your sacrifice.
