I remember that right after 9/11, the media was discouraging their reporters from writing about Muslim celebrations, among other things (like bodies splatting on the ground).

I think the reason this reporter got away with writing an article saying they were celebrating.... is because he was a cripple and they would run into trouble trying to fire him.

Back then I worked 40 hours a week and had a newborn baby.

I worked in a bank and everyone thought I was racist because I started scrutinizing kited money orders with muslim names on them.

There were a lot of them and I hadn’t seen so many before.

I sent the FBI an anonymous tip.

Never heard a thing back, but why would I?

I’m sure they had more than they could handle at the time.

Between work and problems at home(long story) I kind of nutted up so I don’t work there anymore.

It’s been almost fifteen years since and I’m still very bitter about it but trying to get better.
