An organized protest at Cornell University supporting racial equality has been canceled after a black student group complained about the “lack of people of color in the planning and attendance†of the event, which appears to have been organized by a white student.
The group also stated that “although†the members appreciate “the solidarity and interest of our allies,†the organization would like to address prejudice “in [their] own way.†They then suggested that individuals who would like to show support for black causes should ask in advance for the organization’s approval.
Thursday morning, a Facebook event was created for a #ConcernedStudent1950 protest that would take place on Friday at noon. People immediately expressed outrage at the event.
The event creator, who appears to be a white man on his Facebook profile, was accused of “mocking the struggles of our communities†and “creating an event to promote himself.â€

I, for one, as a person of inadequate color, am offended my the mock-effort of persons of color to negate, ostensibly negate, or pretend to have or have not negated or “not” not negated efforts by these persons or their oppressors or persons mocking their oppressors the actions of a few, or others. Free at Last!
First came the roaring twenties,
then forty years later the sixties.

When are these dumbasses gonna wake up and realize that black people like this will hate them no matter what?
They simply weren’t taught when they were kids that weakness and a lack of self respect invite attack.

Hopefully they balkanize themselves into 300,000 groups of one and then go to war amongst themselves.
God knows no one with any authority will stand up and simply expel the lot of them.

About 20 years ago, I hired a young engineering graduate of Cornell. Great guy, great employee.
Once I asked him about all of the liberal activity at the school. He replied that it was a real pain in the a$$ to have to step over the protesting bodies on his way to class. His parents were paying serious money to educate him.
I also have a kid who more recently went to UW Madison. He graduated six years ago. He said he doubted that things were too different, but he also said that it was a minority of liberal, political students who got all excited about excuses to protest while most everyone else went about their business.
The Universities initiated it. The universities encourages it. They aided and abetted it. Let them enjoy the fruits of their labor.
