Last night delivered another crushing defeat to the RNCâs plans to take out Donald Trump.
Their Trump Killer du jour, Ben Carson flopped. Inflated push polls can get the RNC only so far in repairing the damage Carsonâs uninspiring performance did last night.
Although he did not shine as brightly as expected, Trump did well enough to flip pressure back on the RNC. Now, as we get closer to Iowa Caucuses, they must decide who their new âTrump Killerâ is.
Last night some unexpected contenders made great strides toward the top of the Republican field ; and not unexpectedly the opinion of the experts is at odds with the average voterâs view of who won.
â¦not necessary to read the expert's opinion; we know who they donât support..
â¦.who they think did do well that throws the RNCâs plans up in the air.
In view of some very credible â but ignored - polls to the contrary; how long can Fox News and their collaborators at the RNC continue to try to sell the idea that Carson is neck and neck with Trump?
Yesterdayâs Morning Consult survey showed Trump gaining three points and Carson losing two points â¦.. fifteen points .. no one else close.
Whether the damage Carson sustained last week was justified or not he now needs much too much shoring up to continue as the RNCâs Trump killer du jour.
Enter last nightâs debate.
⦠Paul did (much better) than expected and even Marco Rubio held on.
.., [RNC problem] â¦.Carson faded and Ted Cruz as usual surpassed expectations.
But whom do they back now? Rubioâ¦.. scarlet âAâ for amnesty.. RNC hates Cruz. Rand Paul has no chance â¦. libertarian positions
..the order of those behind [Trump] delivers another crushing defeat to the RNC.

You summed it up pretty well. I don’t think Carson hurt himself, he was just the same as always.
Trump is well is the smartest in the world of "solutions" aka "The Art of the Deal".
Pick a problem....look for a solution....Finalize the solution.
Cruz’s biggest issue is he’s a divisive character. He certainly can fire up the conservative base, but for ever conservative he motivates, he will motivate another to show up just to vote against him in a general election.
Cruz has to prove he can win a general election and that isn’t something he’s done yet.
For me his stand on H1B shows me he’s controlled by the same puppet masters as the rest when push comes to shove.
[If only he said “GET THE HOOK” for Kasich...]
Agreed, he drove me nuts with his constant waving his hands and interrupting, the worse part was the most of the time the ‘unbiased’ moderators let him have the time.
Ted Cruz he is brilliant but succinct. He doesn’t exceed expectations, he just needs airtime.
Having control of congress has really done a lot for conservatives,/s. The political parties are just like the gov’t agencies and big corporations, they forget their mission statement and only care about their survival and growth.
I loved that line, winner of the evening!

You are right there. I judged debate at a local high school for awhile, it was really fun. I always wondered if I could debate for something that I did not believe in.
‘He shines most in ethical conservatism’
Do you have some examples?
I like Carson overall, but I dislike his physical flinch of closing his eyes to respond to a question. Engage your opponent or questioner with eyes open at all times.
Jeb and Kasich did not disappoint with the “well, the illegals are here, now we must deal with them” or “well, Obamacare is now law, so let’s deal with it”. Sellout sonsabitches.
Hunt ‘em down and ship ‘em back across the border. Their lame response just encouraged millions more to make a run at our border.
In terms of knowing legal matters and having debate skills, for sure. But you know what? Jeb, Carson, and Kasich seem to be the only three of those eight who aren't smart enough to be President. Some of the others are as smart as Cruz, but with different intellectual strengths. JMHO
I see the same thing. Ted doesn’t need to plead his case. Being forcefully factual, and injecting some more humor, could help him gain support. Pleading doesn’t convey strength.
For me, Trump comes off like a used car salesman....but he's not a lawyer so he has that going for him....
>>Having control of congress has really done a lot for conservatives,/s
LOL. Yeah. But, watch and see. Eventually, they will start saying that Trump will threaten the Republican control of Congress and then “we won’t be able to stop the Democrats”.
We used to see Republicans as an engine that pulled in the opposite direction of the Democrats.
Then, we saw them as a brake pedal that would slow or even stop them.
Then, we saw them as a clutch pedal that could at least take them out of gear so they’d stop accelerating.
Now, the Republican party is nothing more than the dead pedal next to the clutch—a place to rest your foot while the other foot drives the car.

Yep it takes a little more effort than copy and paste with the character
problems being experienced on FR at this time.
They planted Carson in the midst to take away the votes from Trump or just knock him out....so they started at the bottom, Jeb, then Rubio, Snarly Carly, Kashich, Walker, so now that their ‘golden haired poster child’ Carson cut his and their throats there is only one way for the GOPe to go....
Back Hillary....now this election is “Anyone but Trump” ...now that we know this, we need to get busy...Trump is mighty, he great and he thinks fast on his feet and he is so far ahead of the GOPe game it makes your head spin....
So it's Hillary remember that the GOPe, RINOs, media, talking heads are backing...get your shovels and hip boots ready because we are going to need them for all the crap they are going to throw at Trump....
[”Trump is well is the smartest in the world of “solutions”...]
Although, I agree with his concept that we have to entice companies to return home and hire Americans, he first has to confront and explain one of the main REASONS they left in the first place...UNION WAGES.
I like Dr. Carson. He’d make a fine surgeon general, or someone to dissemble Ocommiesnare.
‘so now that their âgolden haired poster childâ Carson cut his and their throats’
Must have mislaid his hammer that day.
