Alex Smyth created this .22 Steam punk Gatling gun from scratch with aluminum/steel skeleton with 7 rotating barrels. The whole gun is sheath in real copper with 1300 hand rib-bets in it. Built off of a Ruger 1022 to keep it legal. Also has an area at the top for the simulated steam from the ice and water.
The chimney and electric motor that drives the rotary barrel which has nothing to do with the firing mechanism to be in compliance with the law. Installed a rotary trigger fed by a .22 magazine from the bottom, total gun weighs 60 lbs. See the demonstration of the .22 Gatlin gun here.
Can this author really not know what a rivet is?
Meh X 3.....That is exactly what it is Romans. ‘Gattling Gun’ my old can! This is a ‘10/22 in a box’. The fake looking spinning copper tube barrels are show only. The hand crank is a take off of the early 1980’s ‘BMF Activator’ style hand crank ‘rapid fire’ trigger enhancements. It weighs 60 lbs!!!? Yeah sure it does!!! (Look at how easily he moves it about). Decent, kind of, fab job on the copper box but that is about it. (This thing was debunked on the gun forums a while back......but it did not need to be debunked. Anyone with basic knowledge of weapon mechanisms could dope this thing out by themselves as not a real Gattling style weapon or even a reasonable facsimile. .)
The gun verson of clockmed’s ‘clock’.
I use ‘rib’bets’ on all of my 10/22’s now!! (I used to pull all of the pins and springs and super glue them back together, or just use rubber bands, but than I found out ‘rib-bets were stronger! ‘rib-bets’?...Good Grief!!!
Or you can get a 50 round drum magazine for a 10-22 and bumpfire it.
Just don’t touch the barrel after that.
Yep.
[ More like when is Obama going to invite this young inventor to the white house. Its way more cool then then what Clockmed came up with and took more brains than that kid will ever have. ]
They guy that made this was white and made custom parts so he has white priv and therefore is dead to this administration!
rebit , rebi, rebit
“rib-bets”
Frog feature
That is cool.
As I understand it, the 80% receiver qualifies as a gun, and requires a 4473 and a background check before you can have it, so you own a gun, it just doesn’t work yet.
Whew, thanks! I was having a difficult time figuring out a kindly response to that very issue.
They always have been. In effect, it's a semi-auto trigger, that you can operate faster than a finger.
For that matter, a Gatling gun, multi-barrels and all, is a single shot gun, just a lot of them, and requires no special tax stamp. It's not full auto until you add an electric motor and it can fire more than one round with a single operation.
One of those little things that makes Democrats and people who chew lead paint chips wet themselves. Like a Hellstorm trigger.
Wrong.
Sloppy.

Sad but true...
I remember when you used to see those “gatling”guns at the gun shows made with 6 or 8 10/22’s with a cammed trigger.
