...And they're probably right
Were going to ignore the unseemly, obviously biased, glee with which they deliver this news. Were also going to gloss over the fact that, if the phrase death watch had been applied to Hillary, liberals would spin it into wishful thinking on the part of evil conservatives who want her to literally die. Since were not progressives, well just look at the facts and say this: When CNN claims that Rand Pauls campaign is officially on death watch, theyre probably right.
Barring a miraculous turnaround, Rand Pauls campaign is nearing the end of the road.

Which alternate candidate has been the most charitable to Senator Paul’s viewpoints and candidacy?
Should Paul throw his support there?

Funny, he just sent me a spam email claiming huge progress and asking for donations. Sorry, there Rand, spent it all on ammo....

I’m surprised Lindsey Graham and Krispy Kreme Christie have not dropped out before Rand Paul?
To: Sean_Anthony
Actually all the less then 5% candidates should just go away now. They are just embarrassing themselves.

Paul seems to be bleeding people to the Cruz campaign but I suspect he’ll do what his father traditionally does.
Not actually end the campaign but “suspend activity” so he doesn’t end up endorsing anyone and still manages to collect the dead enders votes.

True, and 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 .... = something of a groundswell for the guy who can consolidate.

He sold his soul to McConnell is my perception of Rand based on his support for McConnell over Bevin in the 2014 primary.

2% up for grabs. I hope Jeb doesn't receive even a tiny fraction if it.

They are just embarrassing themselves. But they are also enriching themselves. Any campaign contributions they manage to snag, they get to keep. I think that's the bottom line for many of them.

Jeb can use all he can get.
The cut-off for the Oct. 28 CNBC debate is 3% (average from late Sept. to late Oct.).
Jeb is at 4%.

Nah, don't believe this.
The GOPe wants to keep the glut of candidates, so voters are split and even some confused but mostly spread the support between LOTS of "conservative/libertarian leaning" candidates to draw support from a GOPe "viable candidate" from winning against JEB/Rubio!

Another factor is that Ron Paul attracted Independents and even some Democrats, in the primaries. I wonder if that segment of the population is going to Sanders instead.
Rand Paul has been all over the place, not ready for prime time. Besides that, he's said NOTHING about his dad's biggest issues.....ending the Federal Reserve and stop fighting wars where we have no business butting in.

Both are issues where Ted Cruz has picked up Paul voters. (I don't know if Cruz supports outright ending the fed but he does support serious auditing of it)
