Scott Walker reminds us money can get you on the stage but if you can’t sing you get the hook

Like a significant number of conservatives I thought Scott Walker would be the right man to lead the Republican Party to victory next year.

He seemed to have what it takes to fight Democrats and win even in a Blue State. His list of accomplishments impressed others as well. Then came the first Presidential Debate. Walker’s performance was stunningly poor. Worse still was his disappearance in the second debate which cost him the support of 98% of his previous backers.

In the first debate he was a silent crash dummy. In the second go-round Walker, the guy who had built a reputation for beating and humiliating union thugs was himself beaten and humiliated as he stood by and got steamrolled by opponents who came to win. One of them, Donald Trump saw his campaign take off on that night probably signaling the last time anyone else would be close to him. This should not have happened.

Walker was supposed to be able to fight without worries about raising money. Besides rank and file conservatives contributing to his effort, he had the financial backing of the Koch brothers whose collective worth dwarfs Trump’s. Even before he officially entered the race, they had signaled that Walker was their man.

Nevertheless, that support may very well have been the start of a chain of events that eventually caused Walker to bow out in such disgrace.

The truth of the matter is that Scott Walker sold his political soul to the Koch brothers..

“The truth of the matter is that Scott Walker sold his political soul to the Koch brothers and apparently agreed to be their pro-amnesty candidate in return for an endless supply of money.”

Looks like they’re trying REWRITE his story. He was for Open Borders LONG BEFORE he ran for national office...he has a voting record to prove that. He did, however, try (feebly) to try to later show that he supported border security, but he wasn’t capable of doing that, without slipping.

This is why manufacturers spend more money on advertising than on research and development.

Having a good sales pitch is better than having a good product when marketing to sheeple.

The Cheap Labor Express candidates are finding the going rough this time around.
Perry and Walker are out, now we just need to get rid of Christie, Kasich, Rubio, Bush, Pataki, Graham, Firorina, Paul and Carson.

From the rest we can elect a President who WILL enforce the laws.

Christie, Kasich, Rubio, Bush, Pataki, Graham, Firorina, Paul and Carson.

Why did you exclude Ted Cruz from that list? He wants to expand H1-B visa foreign workers five fold.

The brutal truth is, 99% of rich donors want cheap labor express. The candidates can not stay in the race if they go against the wishes of their sugar daddy's.

I could be wrong, but I think Cruz introduced that amnendment as a way to expose the hypocrisy of the Democrats, I’m not sure he would do that as President.

I did overlook Huckabee as well.

Santorum, Cruz and Trump are the only ones who even might try to stop it.

"he has a voting record to prove that."

You are aware that Walker is a governor and not a congressman?

I don’t understand how anybody in this day and age could support open borders.

Fact #1: Santorum has been talking about REDUCING immigration since I can remember. He gets A+ from me.

Fact #2: Trump is the ONLY presidential candidate for 2016 who dares use the word “DEPORT”. You can look with a microscope, and you will not find it on other candidate’s web sites or speeches.

Fact #3: Immigration, legal and illegal is the single biggest cause for drop in middle class wages. Why pay a computer programmer $100k if you can get a dozen programmers willing to work for $50k from India on H1-B visa’s?

I came here as a grad student for master’s degree in engineering. I had to jump through several hoops to get a green card approval. Only because my employer fought with immigration, I was allowed to stay. But today, you can sponsor your relatives for green card. No skills or assets required! Older parents get approved, and they become eligible to receive social security without having contributed a dime in taxes!

Americans need to wake up and wake up fast. We do not need one million plus LEGAL immigrants EVERY YEAR. Only 2 candidates are talking reducing unskilled immigrants, Santorum & Trump.

I suspect based on long-term past performance that the American people are constitutionally unable to see the results of their own complicity in the liberal state.

“You are aware that Walker is a governor and not a congressman?”

That’s what makes it EVEN WORSE. He didn’t have to vote on it at all, could have kept his options open.

You’re wrong.

Cruz doubles down on supporting it every time he’s asked. That doesn’t mean I don’t support what Cruz is doing in other areas, but I certainly don’t trust him on immigration.

The wanna-be pundits are sometimes worse than the pundits on TV.

Walker didn’t want the job, but to trash him and Wisconsin like this is disgusting.

So almost ten years ago he backed an immigration bill that was too liberal. He doesn’t back it now. He favors a much more restrictive bill.

Other than building a wall on the Canadian border, I don’t know ANYONE that has ANY CLUE as to where he stands on the issue these days, which is why he was sent to showers.

...in any case, he’s got 4 years now to figure out a position.
