TRUMP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT? NOT! By Aaron Goldstein on 9.25.15

In his latest on Donald Trump, my AmSpec colleague Jeff Lord praises The Donald as a fighter. Jeff writes, “What was Donald Trump doing just yesterday? He was fighting. Fighting with Fox. And before that? With Jorge Ramos. With Univision. With Megyn Kelly. With CNN. With Rosie O’Donnell.”

O.K., so we know who Donald Trump is fighting. But what exactly is Donald Trump fighting for?

The Donald makes for good TV. But so does the WWE. By this standards perhaps we should elect Vince McMahon or John Cena to the White House. I say this in all seriousness because we should consider Jeff’s assessment of the recently departed Scott Walker:

Meanwhile there was Scott Walker busy talking. He was talking… talking… talking. Here’s a sample Walker quote from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel a while back:

“We’ll talk about a number of things, from health care to national security, in the next couple weeks. We’ll roll out a couple of those before the next debate,” he said Thursday. “And then, in the weeks following that, on tax policy and other issues out there.”

No offense to Governor Walker but….Yawn.

Apparently things like health care, national security and tax policy are boring. So why talk about “boring things” when you can call Megyn Kelly “a bimbo”? Let’s put it this way. If your top priority is hearing someone call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, then Donald Trump is your man. But if your top priorities are.........

Steelfish: Here we go again - I get so used to your crap that when I see the "steel" in the name box I automatically know what's on tap.

Red Steel - I apologize profusely for the other comment/question. The one who seems to be posting all the negative crap is Steelfish and I mixed you up with him. Then, I was going to nail him down and when I looked at the comments (your comments) on some Trump stories, i was further confused - hence the "dichotomy" reference.

So sorry.

So. Aaron was a Walker supporter turned Fiorina supporter (after Walker walked off to nowheresville)?

When your candidate is boring, or unpopular or whatever - far behind the leader what do you do? Attack, attack, attack! Attack those who like and/or support the leader, attack people for not liking their candidate, attack the leader - always.

Trust. Trust is the one thing our political slate has lacked for a very long time. Sleazy, lying quisling politicians who say words to get elected and then beat those words into blades with which to stab us in the back.

Boring? Boring, boring, boring policies, positions and platforms - why doesn’t anyone see the true beauty in their candidate’s policies? Trump is a showman, he’s an actor and a blowhard - he gots no positions. Not like my candidate who has a whole encyclopedia of carefully wrought parsed platitudes! Why won’t all you people who like Trump just go away? We NEED you to shut the hell up and not vote.

To me, the issue is TRUST. We don’t trust our establishment political party leadership nor its implementers in Congress. We simply don’t believe them and do not want them any more. They never tell us what they’re thinking, they’ll lie about what there doing, and then they’ll come home and lie about some show-vote they concocted with the Speaker or the Majority leader. They never tell us about what they truly feel - Trump does.

There seems to be more people running to be named the winner of the Wile E. Coyote Frustration Award than in the Republican field.

Perhaps the donald can beat it to death with the Bible he doesnt need to read......

as he has informed the peon ..hes a good guy....and he has no need to be forgiven...I have to question the appropriateness of his using that Bible as a BADGE...

YES i was being FACETIOUS

Hulks Wrestling was as I hope we can agree a HOAX a very well played and perhaps even entertaining HOAX but a hoax nonetheless

a hoax in professional “wrestling” is one thing....a Hoax in a race to beocme the POTUS is something else entirely.

even more importantly and the root of my facetious comment was the STYLE....

The Would Be Candidate from NYC’s STYLE is all too reminiscent of Hulk Hogans...

the trump hair...is.....in a word HILARIOUS!!

the trump ATTITUDE...isnt nearly as entertaining

this is the perfect PORTRAIT of MR Conservative MR GENUINE!!:

I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”

Trump said that while he hasn’t asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion.”

go donnie go!!

I am not ignoring him, he simply hasn’t done anything I can see to try to change the established paradigm. Playing nice and polite with leftist media operatives trying to destroy republican candidates has got to end. They need to be called out every time it happens or nothing will change. I only see one candidate doing it consistently and it is not Cruz.

I’m originally from Brooklyn. Trump talks like people I knew growing up including a couple of my Uncles.

I find it very refreshing. LOL

Yeah, that is how I see it. I will not even vote in a primary until March. A lot can happen between now and then.

Are you saying that Trump folks are impervious to the reasoning of others? That all they can bear is their echo chamber?
