EXCLUSIVE: TRUMP CALLS CLUB FOR GROWTH A PACK OF THIEVES
by MICHAEL PATRICK LEAHY 29 Aug 2015. NASHVILLE, TennesseeIn an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, GOP front runner Donald Trump is firing back at the Club for Growth.
Theyre a pack of thieves, Trump told Breitbart News as he was leaving Nashvilles Rocketown facility. He had just finished delivering a high-energy speech to an overflow crowd of more than 1,000 people.
Trump was attending the annual convention of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, which describes itself as the grassroots Republican wing of the Republican Party.
They [the Club for Growth] came to my office looking for money. I turned them down. Thats why theyre after me, Trump told Breitbart News.
Earlier in the week, the Club for Growth attacked Trump for his proposal to penalize Ford Motor Company for putting a car manufacturing plant in Mexico rather than Tennessee.
Donald Trumps threat to impose new taxes on U.S. car companies will hurt the American economy and cost more American jobs, David McIntosh, President of the Club for Growth, said in a statement.
It should thrill liberals and Democrats everywhere that Trump wants to create new taxes and start a trade war to force American companies to work where he demands, McIntosh added.

looks like a valid criticism to me.
Thus far Trum has talked about immigration. That is not the only important issue. If it were will those who support Trum also support a Democrat who’s right on immigration but nutter on all else????
Vet your candidates, please
Both sides of this spat are exaggerating. That’s not good for any of us.
I agree. The thing is, even if people do not support you in the primary, you don’t want to run them off just in case you do win the general. You will need every vote.
A spat with one person can be handled. A spat with an entire organization might not be such a great idea. But I am not one to bash Trump for his choice of words. Mostly I find him funny.
Club For Growth is not as good as Americans for Prosperity. At least that is my impression.
Maybe they should be Club Republican Candidates for Sport.
It really bothers me—that a man who understands the Constitution, believes in it, is a believing Christian, has all the brains needed, could lose because of “superficial” flaws. But it seems likely.
It may be that the Democrats, with the help of the Catholic bishops, have already turned the electorate overwhelmingly pro-abortion—since immigrants vote 80% pro-abortion.
With Trump in the White House, I would no longer be worried that the “President” is an illegal alien Marxist Muslim terrorist who wants to kill me with an EMP or by some other means. But I also wouldn’t expect principled governance, the end of fiat money, etc., etc.
“It really bothers methat a man who understands the Constitution, believes in it, is a believing Christian, has all the brains needed, could lose because of superficial flaws. But it seems likely”.
It also bothers me greatly. One thing that really bothers and irks me is a general lack of discernment among the people.
When I mentioned the improvements Cruz needs to work on I was doing so for the benefit of those very people.
That so many people are unable to discern something is very wrong with Obama is a good example.
Yes, this evil man is a menace in so many ways.
I miss the Reagan years when we felt protected and secure and optimistic and more of all those good things.
Maybe TRUMP will fund the CRUZ camp...for V.P. ...That would be a good move...imo..
Besides its never been done before...with would be cwl
PS-I think more and more people are seeing abortion in a negative light. That is a good thing.
Support by the CFG, along with wanting a huge increase in H1-B visas says volumes about Sen Cruz’s stance on cheap labor.
Add support for the Corker bill to fund Iran by Sen Cruz, then speeches to stop it.
Nope. Not going to listen to the things I like about him anymore when they are used to cover up the rest. The Koch brothers have too many items on their agenda that are not good for America, and Sen Cruz is beholden to them.
Ted lost me, FWIW.
I no longer trust any of them.
You are beginning to convince me.
Cruz is flawed, and it may be moot. He cannot possibly campaign one-tenth as effectively as Trump.
In every Catholic parish, there are large numbers of Catholics who have never voted for a pro-life politician—because they, and their parents, and their grandparents, etc., are Democrats. Some of the DAILY COMMUNICANTS voted twice for Clinton, twice for Obama.
The cause of this is, of course, mindlessness. Ask a few questions, and you discover that they have literally no actual political or religious THOUGHTS in their heads. It’s just “Catholics are Democrats” and “Democrat good, Republican bad.” There’s NOTHING ELSE inside their skulls.
Oh, there’s also this: “Father talks against abortion because he’s a Republican.”
Of course, most bishops are exactly the same.
Nothing against your opinion. But it reminded me of the perceptional bias I have when looking at or hearing a candidate.
For instance, I’ve seen Scott Walker in interviews and while the content isn’t something I’m especially for or against, he sometimes gets a little smile, a little sort of smirk that reminds me so much of Eddie Haskell on “Leave it to Beaver” it isn’t funny. Odd that.
Other times (if one would get down to personal bias) when I hear Jeb Bush, I get the distinct impression he’s searching for the correct English word for what he’s thinking in Spanish...:0)
Ill bet Trump talks at 200-250 WPMi.e., like a human, and Cruz usually talks 100-150 WPM.
***********************************
Trump is a NYer. Cruz is a Texan. Us Texans just can’t talk as fast as the folks in NY, MA, PA, NJ, etc.
Slow talking is OK, but I also don’t like that nasal tone of Cruz’. ....I DO like his messages!
Unions put Detroit out of business.
***************************
Just as unions caused an end to the steel industry in the US.
The Club for Growth stands for:
* Growth of US Debt
* Growth of China’s economy
* Growth of illegal immigrants
* Growth of Food Stamps and Welfare
* Growth of unemployment of native born Americans
Perhaps their reputation outshines some of their realities......
They criticized Trump for his policy position on trade tariffs.
Trump responded with a substance-less personal attack, as usual.
But you’re all in for some guy allegedly worth $7 billion?
Club for Growth is a “clown operation” but Donald Kardashian is not a clown?
