EXCLUSIVE: TRUMP CALLS CLUB FOR GROWTH ‘A PACK OF THIEVES’

by MICHAEL PATRICK LEAHY 29 Aug 2015. NASHVILLE, Tennessee–In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, GOP front runner Donald Trump is firing back at the Club for Growth.

“They’re a pack of thieves,” Trump told Breitbart News as he was leaving Nashville’s Rocketown facility. He had just finished delivering a high-energy speech to an overflow crowd of more than 1,000 people.

Trump was attending the annual convention of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, which describes itself as “the grassroots Republican wing of the Republican Party.”

“They [the Club for Growth] came to my office looking for money. I turned them down. That’s why they’re after me,” Trump told Breitbart News.

Earlier in the week, the Club for Growth attacked Trump for his proposal to penalize Ford Motor Company for putting a car manufacturing plant in Mexico rather than Tennessee.

“Donald Trump’s threat to impose new taxes on U.S. car companies will hurt the American economy and cost more American jobs,” David McIntosh, President of the Club for Growth, said in a statement.

“It should thrill liberals and Democrats everywhere that Trump wants to create new taxes and start a trade war to force American companies to work where he demands,” McIntosh added.

The Club for Growth is a well-known, established conservative organization. Attacking them is not wise.

People once thought the US Chamber of Commerce was pro-business and good for American citizens, too.

But what’s their position on immigration?

I took a look at their website. They say nothing about immigration, one way or the other. Immigration is a very, very important issue. So I find Club for Growth's silence significant.

One thing that is on their website is a strong statement favoring the unrestricted importing of foreign goods into the US. That will, IMHO, destroy what's left of American industry, and the American middle class.

But I doubt if many CFG members are middle-class factory workers, so why should they care about that?

I like Trump and I’m rooting for him, but I can’t disagree that Trump’s call for tariffs fail to attack the direct causes of our economic problems.

Get rid of the DIRECT CAUSES of our economic malaise from the federal government and our economy will soon be humming regardless of the Chinese, the Japanese, the Mexicans, or the Man in the Moon.

- Get rid of MINIMUM WAGE, the DIRECT CAUSE of artificially forced higher costs and prices and incentives for businesses to move elsewhere. The new higher minimum wage is accomplishing this result already.

- Get rid of federal protection of UNIONS which are DIRECT CAUSES of higher costs and prices, lower quality, non-competitive products, and incentives for businesses to move elsewhere. Unions put Detroit out of business.

- Get rid of tons of dead-end, non-productive FEDERAL REGULATIONS, a huge DIRECT CAUSE of higher costs and incentives for businesses to move elsewhere. Anybody in business will tell you that.

- Lower ALL taxes at a flat rate to abolish the 75,000 page tax code and IRS power.

All of the above is because of federal government’s unconstitutional and destructive interference in the economy as a direct cause of lower productivity, competitiveness, and manufacturing moving elsewhere.

This is a bit of old news, which I would love to hear more updated information about. First, what is their response to Trump and, second, what is Cruz response since he is up-to-his-eyeballs involved and funded by the group. There appears to be a clear shakedown and extortion attempted that is no different than what Jessie Jackson has mastered over the years. No surprise Rove and others are pulling the same thing.

” ... and start a trade war ... “

A trade war with Mexico? Like they have a bargaining position? If Mexico doesn’t like it, they can get over it.

Milton Friedman was in favor of unrestricted imports as well, saying that if somebody wants to sell us stuff even below cost, hey we’ll take it.

He assumed that the Americans that would become unemployed as a result of that, would “quickly “ find other employment.

I don’t think that was a correct assumption.

Thank you, and so are you, sir.

Cruz definitely needs a more “likeability”, “I’m one of you”
“I’m a good guy” effort.

And the voice definitely needs improvement.

And I like Cruz a lot.

What has CFG done for us lately?

They are yet another lobby for illegal/cheap labor. Disinterested in the actual sovereign United States of America.

The Club for Growth is a group of free-trade, betray America, rat-bastards.

There is a reason the all of the career politicians are looking ridiculous as the flail around losing to any outsider. The American people are pissed, they don’t trust the government, they are being taxed to death, every aspect of their lives are over-regulated, they are being called could names by the very a$$holes that they voted for, the government just keeps growing bigger and more abusive, and the bureaucrats get more arrogant while they tear down our culture and institutions because they can.

Only an idiot could watch as Obama’s bureaucrats’s lied and snotted off to Congress while suffering no punishment and not know these “public servants” feel no fear of or respect for the citizenry.

If the political class does not fix this they are going to be replaced by an entirely new crop.

Wow. I would add Repeal of the 17th Amendment. Good luck actually adopting legislative Term Limits, however.
Stay blessed.
