Why criticizing ethical vegans and animal rights activists will soon become a hate crime.

As many of you know, so-called “fat pride” activists have launched an all-out attack on anybody who advocates fitness, erects billboards promoting health and fitness, or merely asks why there is an obesity epidemic by labeling any dissenting viewpoints on obesity as “hate speech” and even reporting obesity skeptics to police for “hate crimes.”

Now I have learned that there is a possibility that ethical vegans – vegans who convert to veganism not for health reasons, but for animal rights reasons – will take a cue from the fat pride activists and have any dissenting viewpoints on ethical veganism and animal rights declared to be hate speech.

How will the ethical vegans accomplish this goal? By having veganism officially recognized by governments as a religion on par with Christianity, Islam, Zionism, and atheism.

In December 2012, Sakile S. Chenzira, at the time a customer service representative for the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, was fired for refusing to take a vaccine because it contained egg products. In return, Ms. Chenzira filed a federal lawsuit, alleging that her dismissal was in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits discrimination based on religious beliefs (or lack thereof).

In late 2013, the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center reached a settlement.

How do you know someone’s a vegan?

Don’t worry, they’ll tell you within minutes of meeting you for the first time.

[hey, it’s still legal to tell vegan jokes, isn’t it?]

What Obama is doing to America should be considered a “hate crime”. The anti—American POS is selling us out to our enemies.

Saw some woman driving around with a sticker on the back of her car that said “VEGAN”.

It wasn’t on the bumper either, but higher up on the paint so that it would be more visible.

It’s not possible for them to keep this information to themselves. It serves no purpose unless others know.

OOKKKAAAYY..
This author is going to compare people who think Models, and spokespeople (male or female) should not look like heroin addicts, meth heads, or aids victims, to Vegans, and PETA taking away first amendment rights.

Talk about a leap.

I am a pescatarian (fish). I cook a perfect medium rare steak for anyone who is in my home. I just don’t get people who don’t understand the concept of not eating what you don’t want any leaving others alone.

“By having veganism officially recognized by governments as a religion on par with Christianity, Islam, Zionism, and atheism.”

But perversion (heterophobia) trumps religious freedom and
since when is atheism a religion.

My two best friends are vegans. They never bug me about what I eat. It is just a diet to them.

It serves as a useful warning to stay the hell out of their way.

I didn’t eat meat for 10 years and I nearly went insane.

Until you deprive your body of the nutrients in meat, you have no idea how loopy and spacy you will become.

You will believe the most bizarre things as gospel.

Sudden onset of hypoglycemia forced me to eat meat again and probably saved my life, not to mention my sanity.

Vegans are mad.

My daughter doesn’t eat meat. There might be some deep-seated mind game going on - but she says she just doesn’t like the taste of it. I’ve tried to get her to eat fish, but....

She loves to cook, and will make meat for us. She does complain though when the various church outings, camp, etc. doesn’t have decent healthy food. I don’t think she makes a big deal to others that she is a vegetarian, but I might remind her to be polite about it.

” I’ve tried to get her to eat fish, but....”

I heard on some media of someone claiming mercury poisoning from a fish diet.

Di-hydrogen monoxide is the most prevalent substance on the planet, yet it is the deadliest in the right situations and doses.

Go figure.

Hate crime laws criminalize thoughts and opinions. Laws can criminalize only actions, so those laws are invalid.

You are not allowed to have an opinion anymore. If you need an opinion, one will be provided to you. If you dare become a “bitter clinger” and hold a contrary position, you had better not be so brash as to actually voice it via any medium. You have no 1st, 2nd, nor 4th Amendment rights anymore.

I agree, but I think someone needs to explain that to about 99% of vegans out there. The few vegans I've met - I knew they were vegans within a few minutes of meeting them. Not because they have a particular "look" or mannerisms... Because they told me, and proceeded to pull the conversation back to their diet choices for the remainder of the conversation... right up to the point where I made an excuse and walked away. Vegans have all the zeal of a recent convert to a religion.

Well, I am white. And male. And Christian. Oh, and I own several guns... I am a Southerner. I voted Republican last election. I occasionally watch Fox News. I am a long time FReeper and read the Drudge Report. I also listen to Rush Limbaugh when I'm in the car 'bout lunch time.

What's that, 10 hate crimes I've committed?

In all fairness to fatties, the attacks on them are not just mean and hateful, but at times suggest murder. That’s a bit much. By this I mean the fat haters suggest that fatties be denied medical care, even life saving care, purely because of their weight. It is now policy in Britain’s NHS to delay or deny many treatments.

It goes on, for example, demanding that the children of fat people be taken away from them, because their parents might “recruit them into the fat lifestyle”, even if the children show no sign of obesity.

Resentment is high for the obese who have physical disabilities, that they should be denied accessibility given to others with disabilities. Because being fat is interpreted as being the sole cause of their disabilities.

I think the possibility of mercury poisoning is a real one depending on the circumstances. In certain industrial areas they say that certain fish shouldn’t be eaten more than once or twice a week or something.

Of course that is on the safe side. But I can see some poor guy that catches and eats catfish from the Detroit River for most meals could be at risk.
