Does anyone remember the No Nukes concerts back in the 80's? they were the brainchild of Jackson Browne, and John Hall, former lead singer of Orleans(Still the One) and my former congressman from NY. They were done to raise awareness of the dangers of nuclear arms, particularly under the eeevil Reagan regime. U2, Sting, Pat Benetar, the Talking Heads, a then up-and-coming Madonna and just about everyone who was someone performed at these venues. Now that the madmen in Iran are on the fast track to obtaining nukes of their own thanks to 0, I suppose these concerts will be brought back to warn a new generation of the dangers of a nuclear holocaust? (((((crickets chirping))))))

I saw today that Bono is a 10 year friend of Rick Santorum. He also has sounded more and more conservative of the last few years.
I saw an interview with Neil Geraldo, and Pat Benetar today in which Neil directly quoted Ronald Reagan. Also Neil and Pat were on the couch on “Outnumbered” a few weeks ago.
As people get older, they sometimes gain common sense.

I had the album from the concerts (No Nukes: The MUSE Concerts for a Non-Nuclear Future MUSE meaning Musicians United for Safe Energy). Weren't the concerts about banning nuke plants? It was just after 3 Mile Island and one of the songs, if I recall, was called 'We Almost Lost Detroit' by Gil Scott-Heron. It was about the 1966 partial meltdown of 'Fermi 1', a breeder reactor outside of Detroit.

I liked that album, especially Springsteen and the E Street Band, Bonnie Raitt, CS&N, and the Doobie Brothers. As I was only 18 when it was released, I didn't understand how lefty these folks mostly all were.
