The latest media-generated "blowup" is from The Donald saying that McCain isn't a real war hero.
Well, he's not folks.
You don't become a war hero by being captured by the enemy. You might become one through what you did before or after that, but the act of being captured itself doesn't qualify because you don't choose that.
McCain is not a war hero because there was nothing particularly valorous about his service.
Moreover, and at least as important, what he did to his first wife was viperous, not valorous.
Carol McCain is a war hero. She stuck with her imprisoned husband without complaint through his entire time being held as a POW, raising their three children alone while he was in prison. She made a series of valorous choices. But then she was in a terrible car accident that left her permanently impaired and John McCain ditched her for a very wealthy and beautiful heiress who not only became his lover but financed his political campaigns.
War hero eh? I think not.
McCain is a snake who will screw anyone for his own personal and political aggrandizement.
The reason the political establishment on both sides is all over Trump for this latest comment is that mistreating those who you have taken a sacred oath to before God, one that certainly ought to be more important than your petty oath to defend and protect the Constitution (which is also routinely ignored), is treated as a sport in politics.
Trump is right -- again.
That is a very good point. IN FACT the entire Republican Senate and House should have marched to the flag and lowered it to half mast. Hell Trump should have had some sort of private ceremony doing it.
We need Regime Change
Yep McCain is a despicable person who had a disastrous military record until he got shot down and captured. If it was not for the Hanoi Hilton he would have been drummed out of the service and been a nobody.
In public life McCain has disgraced himself as part of the Keating Five where he was as guilty as sin but got off with a censure. He has never been a loyal republican and has betrayed his part and his constituents for 30 plus years. In all that time the only real piece of legislation he got passed was McCain/Feingold arguably the worst piece of legislation ever passed.
Trump never should have even lowered himself to respond to the real Whacko bird.

Indeed, any military age male who went to college in the 1960’s “took advantage of draft deferments.” Thereafter, Trump had a medical exemption.
Trump on the other hand was running away from the war, partying in College with his millionare daddy’s money.

Johnson was the first president to ever desert the troops in the field, not supporting them with ammo, equipment and supplies or moral rhetoric..
I disliked Romney. He was a liar. One day Pro life, then Choice then Pro Life. But had to vote for him instead of Odumbi the closet homosexual, Communist.
Abandoning the wife who stood by him says more about his character than anything else in his life.
I want to know how Trump is going to win when he isn’t in first place in any of these primaries yet.
