I've been saying forever that I wanted to get a heavy metal fans ping list going, so this is how I end my procrastination. Please ping yourself here and fork new topics for Heavy Metal related talk and Conservativism in heavy music topics.
Those tracks rock though
Like 27 of them at the link
For some reason I never got into Judas Priest even though I enjoy their music. There was something that just never clicked with Priest for me like Iron Maiden and Metallica and Slayer did at the time. They are fantastic band for sure, but I think I got a little turned off by their leather/glam style whereas the other metal/thrash bands of the time were just t-shirts and blue jeans and cool by their right. I still get happy when I hear classic Priest in the heavy metal bars though. I used to walk by Budokan every day until I changed jobs in May of this year. That’s a fun place to see a gig. I think the last gig I saw there was probably Neil Young on his Greendale tour. I’ll refrain from commenting on that album, but damn if seeing Neil Young and his band perform the entire play/gig, and then another hour and a half of Neil Young and Crazy Horse wasn’t totally awesome. Tokyo has the best metal / rock scene in the world in my opinion.
Metallica’s instrumentals are some of my favorite. I’ve never gotten into the video game stuff (but I do like the music from World of Warcraft, though its not metal), but I do know a guy, Mirai Kawashima, who did the soundtrack for Final Fantasy XII I think it was. His band called Sigh is legendary here, and a real treat to see when they play their rare gigs.
Heavy Metal rules. I’m in.
Lean towards your screeen for a sec....
***BITCH SLAP!!!***
Thanks.
I feel better now.
:)
Hah you scoff but my special Abba/Anne Murray Mix tape has made grown men blanch...
I’m in.
Why does Sweden produce some of the best death metal yet turn out to be so wimpy?
I’m not surprised that men named Blanche liked it.
;D
I ran into Anne at the old Detroit Metro back in the late 80’s. She was wearing a full length Sable coat that was dwarfing her.
with this screenname, how can I not? count me in

You can add me. Loved punk rock when it started, but it got old fast. Wasn’t a hard core metal fan, though I liked Motorhead, Metallica, Ozzy and a few others. Never like cared much for metal bands with ultra high pitched singers. But I generally like most rock and blues.
Count me in, thanks!
Hey Squawk 8888! Someone started a great new Abba/Anne Murray ping list!
Awesome!!
add me.
Interesting...
The last time I seen someone get "dwarfed" it was in a movie staring a midget named "Leather" and every time "Juan the pool boy" visited the lonely housewife the swanky music started playing...
