Salon.com believes that the United States is "ready for socialism" and Bernie Sanders is "speaking to America's soul."
In an article published today, titled "America is ready for socialism! Massive majorities back Bernie Sanders on the issues — and disdain Donald Trump," Salon made the case that most Americans want socialist policies in place.
"Sanders speaks to America's soul — and our values," the article's author, Paul Rosenberg, claims. Rosenberg also writes for Al Jazeera.
It continues, "Sanders is right to think that Scandanavian socialism would be popular here in the U.S., if only people knew more about it. And he’s right to make spreading that awareness a goal of his campaign. In fact, on a wide range of issue specifics Sanders lines up with strong majorities of public opinion—and has for decades."
Rosenberg then references a poll produced by "the Progressive Change Institute" in January that claims to show that Americans want socialism. He also casually mentions that he's written with the co-founder of a Progressive Change Institute-affiliate. Despite these clear biases, the author then talks about Americans' support for Sanders's policies.
He also claims that, based on another poll, "Americans preferred Sweden over the U.S. by 92-8%" based on wealth distribution.
"Sanders is not simply cherry-picking a few popular ideas here and there. He’s tapping into a broadly shared set of inter-related attitudes and ideas about closely related issues," Rosenberg writes.
Further, Sanders "ought to be taken a lot more seriously than he has been so far."
In the end, however, Rosenberg is not sure that Sanders will be elected. That said, he writes, "the question is not “Will Bernie Sanders be elected president?” ...The real question is, “Will the Sanders campaign change the course of American history?” And that question is one that every citizen can help answer, by how they engage in the months ahead."
Salon.com believes in a lot of things but none of them are true.

Libs lie. Its just another lie that has no basis in reality whatsoever. They make $hit as they go along and use facts and figures or borrow info from real sources and twist them to make it look credible. In fact one very deluded guy named Mohammed that liked to rape litttle girls and didn’t get the attention he thought he deserved while studying the bible as a Christian centuries ago got the idea to start a religion borrowing stories and history from the bible. Today his followers are lopping Christians heads off everwhere on the planet because he told them they would receive 72 virgins upon death. I think Mohammed was a lying liberal too.
We should all go on Salon and other progressive sites and cheer this nonsense on. Let’s have a clear choice in 2016 rather than GOP Lite and RAT Lite.
The young are particularly enamored with Sanders because he’s promising them all sorts of free stuff — particularly, free higher education.
Our communist schools have brainwashed these young people very well. I asked one of them, how do you think these free things are going to be paid for? The blank stare in response was telling.
If true, America is down the drain.
The promise of free stuff is going to deliver the WH to the Democrats. As El Rushbo pointed out, you can’t run against Santa Claus & expect to win.
An appeal to values, patriotism, and our higher nature? Meh.
An aging 60’s radical, whether it’s Hillary or Sanders, is going to get the last laugh, I’m afraid.
Sanders is demonstrating why the rino strategy of trying to get independents by being moderate is a failure. Independents are not necessarily moderate. They are all over the political map. Sanders is an independent. He’s not a moderate. Those independents who are Sandersistas will never vote GOP, not even at gunpoint.
Trump, as flawed as he might be, is firing up the GOP base. It’s a much better strategy.
I recommend “i chose freedom” by kravaschenko. This book shows the witch hunts from the perspective of a top party member, who quickly loses his idealistic naivete in his effort to survive.
Just like they were ready for "the most transparent administration in history".
Just like they were ready for "smart diplomacy" to defeat Islamic radicalism.
We need candidates that will stand up and remind them of these things, and tell they it's time to show that they're not as stupid as Jonathan Gruber thinks they are.

Cuba was “ready for socialism”.
The national socialist party under Hitler was “ready for socialism”.
The Soviet Socialist Republic was “ready for socialism”.
How many times must humanity be “ready for socialism” before it finally decides to drive all socialists into the seas?!?
If America is really smart, she will learn from the mistakes of others and refuse to implement socialism here.
Sanders also appeals to the losers with the Womyn’s or Queer studies degrees who think it’s not fair that somebody in a technical field can make a fortune while they have to work at fast food places or try to sell candles for a living.
America won’t be ready for Socialism (legalized looting), until the people are disarmed.
