Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we must be ready. Here’s the key question: Is America heading towards a terrible implosion or a great awakening?
I feel a tremendous sense of urgency about this column.
The United States is hurtling towards severe trouble, and the events of the past few months — and what may be coming over the next few months — grieves me a great deal.
Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we all must be ready in every possible way.
Consider where we are in the summer of 2015:
•Violence is exploding in our cities, schools and churches. The horrific mass murder inside the church in Charleston would be bad enough if it wasn’t just one of innumerable mass killings that have become epidemic in America.
•Racism is tearing us apart, and it appears things are getting worse, not better.
•The Supreme Court is poised to rule any day now on the definition and future of marriage — and if the Court rules against Biblical marriage I believe this could cause the Lord’s hand to turn against our country in a severe and profound way according to the moral laws found in Romans chapter one.
•Abortions are occurring at more than one million in year and have put America on the fast track to judgment. Since 1973, Americans have murdered 57 million children through abortions. The blood of 57 million babies is crying out for justice, and they will get it in God’s sovereign timing. Could that be soon?
•If all this wasn’t bad enough, marriages and families are imploding all around us. Poverty is growing. Drug and alcohol use is epidemic. And that’s just here at home.
•Abroad, Iran is closing in on The Bomb.

After reading this thread skypilot, you are the modern Noah - building the Ark while being ridiculed. Weren’t those folks surprised when it started raining.
I too believe there’s a storm coming. Old Sarge is spot on with his advice. I’ve already done it. I’ve moved way out into the country. I’m part a small but well trained and well armed group.
Remember, God does not measure time as we humans do. Yes, there are perilous times (I believe End Times). Yes, I am preparing constantly.
Remember always...no matter how bad things get, God is ALWAYS in control.

I didn't remember that song, but when I read the lyrics, they played in my head to the tune of "Industrial Disease" by Dire Straights.

Yes, and it's actually worse than that.
For decades now, I have heard liberals and "progressives" whine and mourn that if any of their wicked agenda was delayed or thwarted, we were "Trying to turn back the clock!"
They really do believe this is this clock in the sky that marks "progress" and that we are marching towards Utopia, ruled by them, and lawless before God.
But, God will not be mocked. Things are not getting better. They are getting worse. Much worse.
The vast majority of the world has rejected Christ Jesus, and is increasingly hostile towards God. The car is now accelerating, and is headed straight for a brick wall.
Christians are sitting in the passenger seat, imploring the driver to slow down and change direction, but the driver will not listen.
I pray that before it crashes, those who trust in Jesus are airlifted out of the vehicle.
And per post #134, good folks like you won’t have to worry if the airbag deploys, because you won’t be in the car.
God alone is Good. I’m just an old stubborn member of His family. Thankfully, what you say is what I too believe. He is coming for His bride soon, sooner than folks want to believe. They are clever in raising all sorts of escape clauses, to dismiss the Rapture or reject the Rapture or second guess God’s plan. But God is steadfastly ignoring all their escpe clauses and will do His Will. when He says to the Son, “Go get your bride, I’m about to release my wrath” the ones with oil in the lamps will see Him as He is for they shall suddenly be transformed to be just like Him.
I’m still buying silver because JP Morgan is supposedly shorting it. We will collectively destroy those banksters (2010). Other wise words: Never Fight The Fed.

You got it - if the world can go as evil as it is heading with Christians present, it will really take the proverbial hand-basket ride after the Rapture.
Being out of debt is always a good thing. Wise move. Put aside some food and supplies as well.
