Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we must be ready. Here’s the key question: Is America heading towards a terrible implosion or a great awakening?
I feel a tremendous sense of urgency about this column.
The United States is hurtling towards severe trouble, and the events of the past few months — and what may be coming over the next few months — grieves me a great deal.
Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we all must be ready in every possible way.
Consider where we are in the summer of 2015:
•Violence is exploding in our cities, schools and churches. The horrific mass murder inside the church in Charleston would be bad enough if it wasn’t just one of innumerable mass killings that have become epidemic in America.
•Racism is tearing us apart, and it appears things are getting worse, not better.
•The Supreme Court is poised to rule any day now on the definition and future of marriage — and if the Court rules against Biblical marriage I believe this could cause the Lord’s hand to turn against our country in a severe and profound way according to the moral laws found in Romans chapter one.
•Abortions are occurring at more than one million in year and have put America on the fast track to judgment. Since 1973, Americans have murdered 57 million children through abortions. The blood of 57 million babies is crying out for justice, and they will get it in God’s sovereign timing. Could that be soon?
•If all this wasn’t bad enough, marriages and families are imploding all around us. Poverty is growing. Drug and alcohol use is epidemic. And that’s just here at home.
•Abroad, Iran is closing in on The Bomb.

I believe where we are headed is an ultimate showdown between God and Satan, because that is what the Bible says. The question is: "When does the Final Act of this drama play begin?"
I think a global economic crash might be the next turn of events, or perhaps a natural disaster occurring unlike any other that humanity has ever faced.
Either way, I think the showdown might be coming a lot sooner than any of us had previously thought possible.
I remember back during the 1980s. There was conflict, terrorism, recession, setbacks, crime, etc. But there was hope for a better future. I don't have any such hope right now - I see doom in America, and the world's, future.
God is the answer, and the light.
I always assumed America would be on God's side in that showdown. Now I know better, and that makes more sense since God doesn't need American power to win. We all know which side Obama will choose, but I hope most of the American people will choose God's side.
Get a grip. There are more people killed by cows every year than are victims of mass murderers. Don’t believe the corrupt government and its media propagandists.
Glad you posted this. Just got off the phone with my sis and she mentioned Joel and what she sees happening this fall.
America is not mentioned, alluded to, or even alleged in the Bible.
So a complete dissolution will have to happen.
Something is always ‘coming’.

My church is working for revival, but I think most of us believe that except for a miraculous intervention of God, we are headed for a national collapse.
This is what happens when you have a Marxist, community-disrupting foreigner as president.
You can do lots of stuff if you just keep on printing trillions of dollars you don’t have! Like creating a huge stock market bubble that isn’t backed by any substance.

Racism is another thing fabricated by the media and the baiters. Think about your personal relationship with those of different races. Is it confrontational? Or is it respectful?
The media would have you think that we have to “eat Christmas Dinner” with each other. That’s never going to happen. But we can be respectful and fair.
My wife and I have been debating paying off our mortgage versus putting money in the markets.
We’ve decided to pay off our mortgage so we’ll be debt-free when the crash happens.
