In Texas “open carry” just got passed!! The great governor signed it. Thousands steaming for permits. Jihadis will be cut down there in seconds!! Texas rocks!! If you are a moslem terrorist get your sandie ass out of texas.
Not only that, but Governor Abbott signed it in a gun shop, and went to shoot at the shooting range after.

This is so awesome. Texas is so cool. And I heard they passed campus carry. !! What a wonderful example for the brady bunch.
People are complaining about it, though.
The difference between Texas’s open carry law and, say, Colorado is that Texans can only openly carry if they already have a concealed handgun permit. In Colorado, you don’t need a permit.

The “open carry” law is set to take effect Jan. 1, 2016 while the “campus carry” will take effect Aug. 1, 2016.
