The Culture Wars Continue: Bruce Jenner's a Christian Republican???
Michelle Obama's Mirror ^ | 4-27-2015 | MOTUS

Posted on 04/27/2015 8:26:18 AM PDT by NOBO2012

I was going to discuss “The Clintons” today butt between Doug Ross (Will Hillary Get the Petraeus Treatment?) and Clarice (The Clintons' Little Tin Box) they’ve pretty much covered all the bases we know about so far.  Except for the New York Post’s contention that the Clinton Foundation functions essentially as a slush fund.

Charity Navigator, which rates nonprofits, put the foundation on its “watch list,” which warns potential donors about investing in problematic charities. The 23 charities on the list include the Rev. Al Sharpton’s troubled National Action Network, which is cited for failing to pay payroll taxes for several years.

And although the 2016 presidential campaign hasn’t even officially begun we are already starting to show signs of Clinton fatigue. Let’s just say that somebody’s got some ‘splaining to do and leave it at that for now.

lucy hill (2)Who, me?!

And so as I leave the Clintons to take care of themselves, which they have more than proven they can do, let’s move on to another topic: John Nolte’s excellent discourse on liberal hypocrisy: Gay Panic: Jenner, Rubio, Cruz Shock Parochial Mainstream Media. You should read it for yourself, butt here are some of the high lights:

Our bubbled mainstream media got a serious crash-course in reality this week with the revelations that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio don’t hate gays, and that Bruce Jenner, who is in the process of transitioning into a woman, remains a Christian Republican.

Bruce does seem to be suffering from gender dysphoria, butt apparently the rest of his brain is working correctly.

la-et-st-bruce-jenner-interview-react-20150426

During a two-hour interview Friday night, Jenner said to a noticeably puzzled Diane Sawyer, “I’ve always been more on the conservative side.” Still in shock, Sawyer then asked if he’s a Republican. Jenner responded in the affirmative, ”Yeah. Is that a bad thing? I believe in the Constitution.” Jenner also said he was a Christian and not a Barack Obama fan.

Mr. Nolte also explained how puzzled the media was by the whole thing:

Earlier this same week, among others, The New York Times was flabbergasted to discover that Republican Senator Ted Cruz would love his daughters just as much if they were gay. Cruz was also the star of a political event this week hosted by two openly gay hoteliers. The Times was so startled by this Cruz felt compelled to issue a statement.

“It speaks volumes that the New York Times considers it newsworthy that a Republican who believes marriage is between a man and a woman would meet with people who hold a different view,” said Cruz.

You keep ‘splaining and I’ll keep making jokes.

Like most everyone else in America, legions of conservatives and Christians live and work, and dare I say, coexist just fine with their openly gay friends, co-workers, and relatives. America has come a long way in a very short time when it comes to recognizing the humanity of homosexuals, and that is truly a wonderful thing. And long overdue.

Where we disagree is on the political issue of same sex marriage, and despite what the media believes, holding the same opinion on gay marriage that Barack Obama did two years ago, and Hillary Clinton did 2 minutes ago, does not make one a Nazi. (snip)

chick lineup bullshitChick-Fil-A in the Nazi Line-up: wing tips up! Don’t shoot!

The mainstream media is positively drunk on its own sanctimonious ideas of diversity, inclusion and tolerance of different cultures and ideas. And yet this same mainstream media regularly displays a stunning ignorance when it comes to understanding a political and religious culture held by something like, oh, 100 million Americans.

This ignorance breeds hate, which in turn breeds a bigotry that includes a wildly unfair stereotyping that regularly finds its way into news coverage. (snip)

hqdefaultMedia’s Pavlovian reaction to the Conservative Rorschach test

Bruce Jenner is about to discover that conservatives and Christians will be much more tolerant towards his transitioning than so-called progressives are of his political beliefs.

liberaltolerance2

Which leaves you to wonder: who are the real defenders of Thomas Jefferson’s classical liberalism: the the progressive authoritarians who want to use the power of government to make you think and act the way they believe is best, or the Tea Party conservatives who want government to butt out?

Chick-fil-A_cow_charityFeel free to give to the charity of your choice, as long as your choice is the government.

So, as the Supreme Court takes up the issue of gay marriage this week I say let the culture wars continue…

For goodness sake- You’re bringing in cultural customs and laws and comparing that to verses which declare God hates certain people? What does cultural customs have to do with God hating certain people? Are you suggesting that because some Christians today don’t have a problem with certain things that God has had a change of heart about things He calls an abomination, or sin, or about things He hates?

I’m not following your reasoning here- Not sure why you’re bringnign cultural laws into picture

And just for the record, the reason why He forbade pork back them was because trichinosis was extremely high- due to feeding pigs everything, including flesh- Trichinosis is no longer a major concern because of safe farming practices have practically eliminated it- God didn’t want His people getting ill- so He forbade them to eat it- many of the old testament laws were specific to that region, based on cultural laws, or were because of health concerns which don’t exist today- Just so you know-

and btw- you missed the point I was trying unsuccessfully to make about the witches- It wasn’t to bring in an old testament law- it was to show that God didn’t give them an out- His directive was to kill them- Certainly a ‘God of Love’ would step in and delay the execution to give the person time to repent, no?- The point I was making was that God hates the witch, condemns the witch to die, and the act is carried out- God specifically states in his word that He hates witches, and declares what the punishment is- immediate death when it is found out a person is a witch

please don’t bring in the salem witch trials as your next argument, I am NOT suggesting we hunt down witches- I simply used a specific class of people God hates as an illustration point to show that He does infact hate some people and not just their sin only

If Bob thinks the Bible commands him to hate Bruce Jenner, the individual, rather than feel sympathy for Bruce Jenner's mental illness and hope with God's grace that he can overcome the illness, that's his problem. Fortunately the vast majority of Christians don't feel God "hates" anyone. Those who do would be more at home at WBC.

OK, now here is a twist. Repentence and conviction are part and parcel of being saved. If someone is not repentent, or convicted for their sins, does the church body have the resposibilty to admonish the individual, even if it means telling them that they could not come back, until they had changed their heart? Case in point:

I went to a church that had an openly transvetite man that started attending. He was welcomed in and discipled. He never did change his ways, which were proven by scripture to be contrary to God's will. The man refused to change and felt no conviction to change. He insisted God would love him the way he was. He was finally asked to leave, becasue it was decided by the church leaders that he his fruits were bearing his true heart out. His being shunned by church body caused a rift, and people left becasue the church was being "hateful" and not "showing love".

Peresonally, at the risk of sounding like I am casting stones, I think the church body did the right thing by sending him packing. The book of Acts even teaches that sometimes you have to stop trying to preach to those who do not want it. The Lord will take care of the issue in his own time and way. Unfortunatley, sometimes that means doing things that adherets fo the social gospel, and the uninformed, can and will inturperet as being "un-Christian" and hypocritical.

[[like Bob, who AGREE with the left’s talking points and thus tar the rest of us as hate mongers.]]

then you say:

[[Those who do would be more at home at WBC.]]

Insinuating apparently that I should join a hatefilled faux church? Seems you’ve tarred me as a hate monger no? You are espousing the ideology that God loves everyone- How on earth can I possibly be accusing you of ‘hate mongering’ then? Your arguments aren’t making much sense-

[[becasue it was decided by the church leaders that he his fruits were bearing his true heart out. His being shunned by church body caused a rift, and people left becasue the church was being “hateful” and not “showing love]]

you church did exactly the right thing-

[[The book of Acts even teaches that sometimes you have to stop trying to preach to those who do not want it. ]]

Exactly- There are numerous verses which state this- Paul even had to run for his life on a couple of occasions because the people would not accept his preaching- He didn’t stick around and stick it out- He did what was prudent- The bible also talks about God handing unrepentant people over to the world that the world may have them-

[[and the uninformed, can and will inturperet as being “un-Christian” and hypocritical]]

That’s happens a lot unfortunately- But God’s word remains true, and truth wins the day— When someone demands that Both God and the church accept them DESPITE being shown over and over again that God does NOT accept such behavior, then that person becomes a cancer In the church which can tear the church apart- and in your case did tear the church apart by causing a rift- God commands us to be vigilant and on the lookout for such things- He also tells us to look out for heretics- people who intentionally attempt to tear a church apart by constantly arguing and fighting but who have no scripture to back up their arguments- like that gay person insisting God would love and accept them as they are-

People such as that, and such as apostates, are to be turned over to the world- and apostates lose any chance of being able to accept Christ In the future according to God’s word-

>> Your arguments aren’t making much sense <<

Neither are yours. I notice you didn't answer my question about whether you avoid bacon and don't shave your beard because God said to do so in the Bible.

I actually did answer it but also pointed out that it has absolutely Nothing to do with whether God loves all people without exception, or not- I’m sorry you didn’t understand my previous posts explaining it to you-
