Why are so many conservatives, not just Republicans but I mean social-conservatives, unable to form communicate a coherent argument against this logic in interviews and debates?
The latest was Ben Carsons meltdown where he was asked on CNN if being gay was a choice and he replied absolutely, then he offered up prisoners who engage in same sex as his example, then later repudiated and apologized for his response, Ben Carson :
I do not pretend to know how every individual came to their sexual orientation. I regret that my words to express that concept were hurtful and divisive. For that I apologize unreservedly to all that were offended
I mean just because some small fraction of Americans have sexual desires or feelings (that sounds so much more sensitive) that differ from the majoritys(us) ; why do we have to be forced to change our behavior to make it look normal and validate it(against our wills) .
A perfect example is Christian bakers and wedding photographers forced to certify gay weddings with their services which is a result of gay weddings for marriages in many states forced upon them by liberal judges.
The whole premise is because they feel differently than we feel, we must change OUR behavior.
Why cant those like Ben Carson who disagree with gay marriage form a coherent argument against this?
A thread relating to Ben Carson’s statement today got to me.
Because the country has forgotten that all law is based on morality, not “fairness”. And, the morality that the US looked to derived from the Scriptures. Specifically, the NT morality, which is itself a derivative of the Mosaic Law, but without the severities. Now, since most people ignore the Scriptures, we are making up our law based on what we “feel is fair”. We have lost our way...at God’s direction.
Just wait until gay marriage has gone on for a decade.
The divorce rate will be hysterical to behold.
They can’t control their sexual urges either. Nearly 40% of gay men admit to having over 500 sex partners.
Roughly 688,000 state and federal prisoners are released each year. Some short-term held....some long-term held. The curious question would be....how many were straight upon entering and engaged in same-sex activity....then walked out and were straight again?
I’m sure the news media won’t touch this topic, but it would settle this entire argument and dissolve this as a political usage event.
Not a very convincing argument when a large % of the country is non-Christian (many immigrants) or Liberal Christian ( calling for same sex marriage in the Selma memorial the other day.)
I am asking why a logical argument cant be made against it:
“Because God is against it” obviously doesnt work on these voters in this day and age.
I understand what you’re getting at,
but it would be so much more effective if
everyone understood what this conflict is about
and insisted on the argument staying in the realm of truth.
The homosexual agenda is simply the left’s currently most effective
weapon in its war on Christianity.
Their goal is the criminalization of Christian beliefs.
I seriously doubt that many gays will ever get married. They haven’t so far in the states where it has been civilly accepted for years, anyhow.

“The homosexual agenda is simply the lefts currently most effective weapon in its war on Christianity.”
That’s it. It’s about using the state to punish and to be able to keep punishing those who they know can never accept it.

File this.
Homos have a much higher percentage of alcohol abuse, drug addiction, venereal disease, and suicide rate. Marriage is supposed to protect children. Homos are a scourge!
What would you try to convince them of?
The only meaningful reason to regulate marriage is for paternity and family continuity. There is no other compelling reason for governmental interference in a private and personal relationship.
Homosexuals shacking up doesn’t even register. Government regulation of best friends forever is next? Because I can find nothing in the current ‘everyone can get married’ argument that would decline that regulation.
Marriage is the union of one man and one woman in matrimony, or marriage is whatever that whatever can do whenever without any government regulation or recognition. If Mitt Romney would have simply called the Massachusetts’s supreme court’s bluff and declared all marriages unconstitutional, this whole issue would have been done with.
Sometimes you have to agree with liberals to win.
Lets just say ‘conservative Christianity”. Sounds like they have a good plan.
If most Christians were united on this it wouldn't seem so hopeless.
Here at Selma they were equating gays with themselves (blacks) wrtcivil rights,

theres yer answer in a nutshell sickdude...too bad most people, even guys like you, wont allow for the "religious" angle to be the base argument...
i know that it isnt *proveable* so we cant go there as the sole answer, but even between you and i, you have sarcastically denied my queer marriage arguments, based on Scripture, w/o allowing them to have any merit, just because the queers dont adhere to the law of God...
IMO, EVERY marriage argument must start from Scripture, and if it doesnt, all the other window dressing falls short in the long run, with walk-backs and apologetics...
they aint 'born that way' and even if they insist that they are, it doesnt matter because queerdom is ABnormal behavior...just like stealing or killing, we are commanded to refrain from such base impulses...
no different than the commands to keep it in our pants until and thruout our normal sexual lives and marriages, which is somewhat a pipedream these days...
i guess at the end of the day, most people feel pretty hypocritic in demanding that a queer refrain from 'sex' when most cant/wont do so themselves...
doesnt matter tho, God demands it, so that is what policy should be, or the policy makers should be replaced...period...or we will lose [have lost] the keys to our Republic...
somethin like that...
1) New rights shouldn't be created based on victim's claimed ‘feelings’ (opens a Pandora's box)
2) Same sex parenting is bad for the children being raised.
And when we're asked who makes us the judge of what's right and wrong, we can respond that we're not. God is.
And when the queers say that not everybody believes in God or believes that He ever forbade homosexuality, we can say that not everyone believes in ANY transcendent concept of right or wrong. But that doesn't alter the reality that some things are just right and some things are just wrong.
Quit trying to convince these deviants with logic. THEY don't use it to bolster their arguments. Neither should we.

What is the government interest in promoting same sex marriage? There isn’t any.
What is the government interest in promoting traditional marriage? Providing a stable environment for the children.
The simple argument is it is not marriage.
