Over the last several years, numerous colleges throughout the United States have offered courses that require the textbook "My Gender Workbook," which claims that people can be literally any gender, so long as they have an imagination. These colleges include the UTexas, Vanderbilt, and Keene State College.
The book, written by Kate Bornstein, claims that genders are entirely up to you and are limited only by how you feel. At the beginning of the book you are greeted by a character named "Blu." Here is the excerpt:
In the book, Bornstein claims that sometimes she decides that she has a gender. Sometimes she doesn't. Bornstein explains that she cannot simply be one gender and says that there are many yet "unimagined."
She explains, "If anything, no gender is all genders- and I think there are a whole lot of genders. No gender is a space containing all genders- those that exist and those as yet unimagined. It was only when I got myself to a point close to no gender that I found myself able to pick and choose from any and all of them, without ever being stuck in one."

The Weather Underground likewise engaged in partner swapping, no refusal sex demands (rape on demand), and homosexual experimentation.
“Smash monogamy”
“Smash the patriarchy”
“Smash the State”
I feel that Kate Borenstein is an idiot. Suppose that's what she's going for, here?
Women’s locker rooms will crowded with boys identifying themselves as girls.
If you can pick your gender, does that mean you can also pick your race?
Gender is a linguistic construct.
Sex is a physical condition.
I don’t use critical theory terminology, e.g., “gender” when I mean sex.
Thank you for your instructive post.
Incorrect.
Any “college” that has this as a text is akin to a college that claims a flat earth (and global warming).
Get your child outta there asap.
Or sooner.
This nonsense is the ultimate result of the modern philosophies of egalitarianism coupled with a devotion to a purely animal existence of eating, drinking, drugging, copulating, evacuating the bowels and snoring. Few people can now make meaningful rational distinctions.
I took a quick glance at the textbook. That? That is written for college students? My gosh, clear evidence of the dumbing down of US education. It is more to a 5th grade reading level that could be because college students are dumber or because the book was written for elementary and middle school pupils. Both are very alarming conclusions.
How ridiculous. Efforts such as this, in addition to exhorbitent tuition costs, will encourage parents to send their kids to trade schools.
Wait, that’s “Y” privilege.
“Sie”
Sigh.
I wonder if Kate feels the same way about the Periodic Table. I mean, elemental names are a social construct, right? Go ahead, mix them up any way you like!
LOL
I would not pay to put any child through a Liberal Arts program, these days. Anything useful has been removed and replaced with PC nonsense.
If I go back to college, I demand to be accepted as a pink bengal tiger.
Uber lib UT is an embarrassment to Texas.
