All it takes for Obama to protect himself from Impeachment is to accuse Boehner of trying to Impeach him. Always a fool for reverse psychology traps, Boehner dutifully held a Presser today and said: "We have no plans to Impeach the president. We have no future plans. It is all a sham." BINGO! Obama's part-time Day Job is safe, because Boehner is really, Really, REALLY STUPID!
Speaker “Blank Check” Boehner has convinced most voters in the Public and US House of Representatives that NOTHING CAN BE DONE to punish B. Hussein Obama for violating the US Constitution unless he is removed from Office by the US Senate.
IOW, Speaker Boehner, by doing nothing, Boehner violates his unique Constitutional Duty to “Control the Purse” or Impeach Obama, and passes the buck to a Democrat-controlled US Senate that will never Remove Obama from Office.
Obama knows that as long as Boehner stays in as Speaker, then Obama has permission do whatever he wants to do, with no fear of punishment.
Boehner as Speaker is ESSENTIAL to permitting Obama to violate the US Constitution on a near daily basis.
Stupid and weak Boehner is, by far, “The best Speaker of the House that the Democrat Party has ever had.”
Removal from Office can only come from the US Senate, and ONLY if the US House Impeaches BEFORE the US Senate even considers whether or not to bring an Impeachment to the Floor of the US Senate.
BTW, “stupid” people are those people who are incapable of learning, and Speaker Boehner and all those who refuse to use the Checks and Balances found in the US Constitution are TRULY STUPID, especially the Republican Member supporters of Boehner as Speaker in the US House of Representatives.
Force Boehner to resign as Speaker, and THEN Impeach Obama with New House Speaker Louis Gomert, Jim Jordan or Trey Gowdy.
Do nothing, and US Voters may find no EFFECTIVE reason to vote for a do nothing Republican slate of Candidates in November, 2014.
BTW, BTW, just what is the difference between a do-nothing Republican Politician who always caves-in to his Democrat betters, and an Obama Democrat Politician?

I’m only going on what the Speaker himself said. Now, I’m no fan of Boehner. I think he’s the weakest, most spineless SOTHouse I’ve ever seen. He’s NOT our version of Pelosi for sure. But if he says it’s off the table, I believe him.

Not saying there aren’t GOP operatives here, friend, but don’t automatically think that because someone disagrees with you they’re part of that.
Some people have a really acute grasp of political realities and can see 7 or 8 chess moves ahead. I’ll be the first to state that I’m DEFINITELY not one that can see that far ahead, but I do listen to and learn from those that can.
End of the day, you, me, sickoflibs, and a great many other folks are in the same fighting hole.

The Republican Party does not have the collective guts to prosecute this guy even though it is richly deserved.

Sucks... but it is the way it is. Our job is to make sure we replace the spineless with Tea Party folks wherever and whenever we can so we can start re-making the party into something resembling an opposition party, instead of a Lite version of the other guys.

The remedy for having a lawless President continue in office would be removal.
Impeachment at this point wouldn't provide that remedy.
If you think giving Obama an opportunity to become more popular (a la Bill Clinton) is a remedy for unlawful acts you are sadly mistaken. Now, if more people (not a minority) become convinced that Obama has committed high crimes or misdemeanors, you have a chance for removal.
Impeachment will be very much on the table if there's an opportunity to get sixty six Senators on board. Then it could really lead to something....the real remedy...Obama being removed. This will happen if more of the public is behind it.
Impeachment of Clinton made him MORE popular. And that's why we struggle with Hillary seeking office.
Until the majority of the public wants it, it isn't going to happen.

Impeachment. I don’t understand the fixation.
Clinton was caught dead to rights obviously having committed well document felonies, and his approval rating went up, GOP lost 5 House seats, and he was not convicted and removed which would take 67 votes in the Senate. The economy was good and that’s all voters cared about. And hell the perjury was far from his worst crime, it was just the only one that was documented enough to prove and he “lied about sex” so nobody cared. His greatest crimes, like Obama’s, weren’t something you were gonna prove in court or in a congressional hearing (unless you reside in Candyland where the courts are run by magic fairies that care about the US constitution). Gingrich should have dropped it when it obviously wasn’t politically helpful and saved some face by censuring him instead.
Even if Obama were impeached, removal is not gonna happen, so what’s the point? It would just be meaningless political theater that would only help Obama. If it would hurt him I’d be all for it but it wouldn’t so it is COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE. Whoever said Obama is “concerned”, that’s nonsense, he wants you to think that, if you do you are a fool, playing into his hands, he’s also not concerned about his birth certificate. The DNC is trying desperately to stir up **it and divide Republicans, it’s their only strategy to help minimize midterm losses and too many people are all too happy to play right into their hands.
Even if it did happen, Biden would become President, SO WHAT’S THE POINT? Biden is an alcoholic fruitcake, we’d like him to become the most powerful man in the world and have an improved chance to keep the job? I sure as hell wouldn’t.

No US President will ever be impeached again, if ever gets Nixon level with Obama or any future President, with crimes so clear that the President’s own party turns on him, then that President will, like Nixon, resign before it happens to minimize damage to his party.
The economy sucks and Obamacare is a disaster, that is ALL Republicans should be talking about. Maybe with a little “look at this disastrous foreign policy” thrown in.
