Gowdy should already be preparing subpoenas for all those folks in the (SENT) portion of the email, those people know what was said, and most likely have a copy.

It appears that our employees are trying to hide their bad behavior from us. That seems suspicious.
Why are they allowed to redact stuff? What’s the point of releasing info if it’s not there?
Notice that on page 43, HRC’s press release on the night of the bombing says: “Some have tried to justify this attack as a response to an internet video blah blah blah.”
Then the next day she blames it on the attack instead of saying that others are blaming it on the attack.
Note on pages 54 and 55, Knopf writes to Susan Rice on Sept 12. Document is unclassified. Subject is something like proposed statement. The entire proposed statement is redacted.
That’s smelly. They don’t want anyone to see the drafts of the statement that eventually went out.
So what about that poor bastard that made the stupid movie that had nothing to do with Benghazi? Has he been released? Compensated for illegal arrest?

Here are some more tidbits I found. It is clear they were working up their talking points on Sept 12. They hadn’t focused yet on making the internet video THE thing. Interestingly, they new it was terrorism on Sept 11. HRC call it an attack by a “small, savage group of people.” Sounds like terrorists to me and NOT a demonstration that got out of hand. They knew the attack was “complex” and well-planned. Not only that, on the afternoon of Sept 12, they said they “did not know” whether the attack was caused by the video!! So they have to point to some information post afternoon of Sept 12 that they got that made them know.
So put that together. On Sept 12 they were saying this was a complex attack by a small, savage group of people and they did not know whether it was a response to the internet video. Then Susan Rice goes on the Sunday shows and lies about it being a demonstration about a video that got out of hand.

On page 56, Email from Payton Knopf to Susan Rice and many others. September 12, 2012 5:42 pm. Unclassified.
Knopf is summarizing background briefing done by Toria Nuland and DOD spokesman George Littel. He thought folks would find details interesting, particularly the “tick-tock” or timing of events. The email goes on:
“Responding to a question about whether it was an organized terror attack, Toria said that she couldn’t speak to the identity of the perpetrators but it was clearly a complex attack.” WOW. More than a demo about a video that got out of hand.
“Responding to a question about whether the attack was linked to the Mohammend video, she said that she could not confirm a connect as we simply don’t know—and won’t know until there’s an investigation.”
At page 66 and 67, there are two emails that are completely redacted. From Susan Rice to Rexon Ryu dated Sept 12, 2012. The emails say they are unclassified. But there is an overstamp that says that DOS classified them on 4/16/2014—just before they had to be released. They will be unclassified in 2032 according to the overstamp. LOL. Rexon Ryu is Susan Rice’s deputy and was head of Chuck Hagel’s foreign policy team when Hagel was in the Senate.
On page 70 and 71, Email containing statement by HRC on Sept 12, 2012. Email is 11:14 am. This was a press release for immediate release sent by Alex McPhillips to Susan Rice. “But we must be clear-eyed, even in our grief. This was an attack by a small and savage group—not the people or government of Libya.” WOW. HRC said it was an attack by a small and savage group, not a demonstration against an internet video that got out of hand. She repeats the blah blah about “some say” this was a response to “inflammatory material on the internet.” So they were clearly formulating the talking point and HRC is being cagey.
On page 72 there is an email that contains a “For Immediate Release” statement by Obama. Supposedly his remarks in the Rose Garden. September 12, 2012. 11:52 am. No reference to the internet video.
