The revelation of Obama Administration memos proving that it knowingly perpetrated a fraudulent cover story blaming a little watched video for the attack on the US Benghazi Consulate is, according to former National Security Council Spokesman Tommy Vietor, “old news unworthy of further concern.”
“Look Dude,” Vietor told Fox News' Bret Baier, “all that happened like two years ago. There's nothing anybody can do about it now. I think former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton established that it doesn't make any difference at this point.”
Vietor also defended the State Department's and White House's pivot toward protecting the Administration from damaging political fall out. “While it was sad that four Americans died in Benghazi, the greater threat to the Administration from the domestic insurgency led by Mitt Romney had to be dealt with in a decisive manner,” Vietor argued. “The four casualties we suffered in Benghazi was a minor setback. A loss to Romney would've had far graver impacts for the President and his program. Even in hindsight, I think we made the right choice.”
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) echoed Vietor's perspective and called continued GOP interest in the topic “a baldfaced attempt to divert people's attention from the headway this Administration is making. They don't want voters to know that over 8 million have signed up for the Affordable Care Act's new health insurance. They don't want voters to know that unemployment has dropped to its lowest level since the President took office. It's the same old 'dirty politics' we have come to expect from Republicans.”
Pelosi predicted that “this scheme won't work because I believe that the Statute of Limitations for prosecuting anyone involved in anything that happened in Benghazi has expired. And even if it hasn't President Obama can simply pardon anyone the GOP witch hunters try to get their claws into. It's time to move on.”

Must be fun for the Ntl Security spox to still be able to buy “big boy” clothes in the “juvenile department” of his local dept store.

That dog won’t hunt. The difference it makes is in the trust and confidence that the American people have in their leaders. Some had no trust or confidence in Obama in ‘08 and especially in ‘12. He still remains a rookie who has always bull-shited his way into the big leagues. If two years were long enough to erase the incompetence Obama would have the economy roaring. Instead he continues to fumble along like an episode of “Pigs in Space” from the old Muppet show (”Oh never mind”) and the uneducated just laugh it off the way they did Miss Piggy’s faux incompetence. This is not a TV show! This is real! Lies!, Lies!, and Dammed Lies! When you lie about everything (and then cover up and get caught and lie some more) you cannot be trusted about anything. The greatest hutzpah is when Obama and his minions spin their criticism as racism. It is not racist to point out that incompetence led to the deaths of four brave souls. It is not racist to say OBamaCare is a disaster and that it has been knowingly perpetrated as a lie (”You can keep you health care, etc.). As the advertisement used to say... “Stop the Madness!!!!

The fact that something may have happened earlier in time is no reason to sweep it under the rug if it was never properly adjudicated in the first place. Doing this could allow these situations & the corruption connected with it to go on forever....which seems to be the direction this administration is heading.

Old news? Gee, what is the statute of limitations on murder and/or treason?
These people are not stupid, but they are counting on enough citizens being stupid, and the election results make a strong case that they are correct.
Watergate was about a break in for information about a political opponent and no one died.
Benghazi was criminal fail after criminal fail.
# Known there was a terrorist build up going on in that area against the embassy and there was no ordered increase in protection.
# There seemed to be lots of stand down orders going around that left our guys hanging out to just die.
# Forces less than an hour away told to stand down.
# Talk of possible American gun running issues going on like the fast and the furious.
# The White House molding a lie to the public to muddy the real issues.
Lots worse than Watergate by far, but the current generations are so clueless.
Americans these days don’t know who we were as a people because then have been manipulated for decades now through union government education.
Old news? Is it because Obama wants another vacation?
