President Barack Obama is in Chicago this evening for two fundraising events. The White House issued a statement saying Obama has been informed of the shootings at Fort Hood and will be kept apprised.
There is no mention in the reports of Obama cancelling the fundraisers as soldiers under his command are under attack on American soil.
From Politico at 6:55 p.m. EDT (which doesn’t mention Obama is fundraising in Chicago):
“President Barack Obama has been informed of the shooting that occurred Wednesday at Fort Hood army base in Texas, according to the pool report.
““The President has been informed of reports of a shooting at Fort Hood. He’ll continue to receive updates on the situation throughout the evening,” principal deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said, as quoted by the pool report.”
From WLS Chicago:
“Air Force One landed at O’Hare Airport Wednesday around 4 p.m.(CDT), bringing President Obama back home to Chicago for a pair of fundraisers.
“President Obama will only be in Chicago for a few hours before heading back to the White House. In anticipation of President Obama’s visit, some closures on Lake Shore Drive are in place and LaSalle Street north of the Chicago River is also closed in the River North neighborhood.
“His first scheduled stop is at the Chicago Cut Steakhouse, where he will attend a private roundtable discussion for the Democratic National Committee. Twenty-five supporters will attend that event, each paying up to $32,400.
“Around 7 p.m., President Obama will attend a dinner reception at a private residence in Lincoln Park. Fifty-five supporters paid up to $10,000 to attend this private reception.
“The president is expected to leave Chicago around 8:30 p.m.”
Just like Benghazi, Obama won’t let his duty to protect Americans from Terrorists interfere with his fundraising for the Democratic Party.
Strange so many shootings on his watch and each time he makes the case to go gun grabbing. Wait till tomorrow, I bet the Executive Order is already written and ready to be unleashed

Selfie will find a way to make this just a white on white crime no matter what the true results turn out to be.
The only type of person who goes off is a low information type. They are the only ones who go off like this against a bunch of people just because he was dissed.
Booker, who is also known as Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, is identified as the shooter.
So now we have a SECOND Muslim Jihadi attack on Fort Hood, Texas.
I wonder if this one will be classified as workplace violence, too.
