McConnell Backer Ann Coulter Lies About Ted Cruz and Gets Amnesty Push 100% Wrong

Last Thursday on the Fox News show Hannity, Ann Coulter appeared in order to respond to Chris Christie’s speech at CPAC. (See video embedded below.)

HANNITY: I think Cruz gave a good speech today.

COULTER: Um, well I noticed in your, when you were showing all the CPAC speakers, the big famous ones, um, every single one of them is for amnesty. And that’s something you’ll notice about this year’s CPAC, it’s not, no anti-amnesty speakers allowed. I will be giving the rebuttal by the way, at 2pm,

HANNITY: Ted Cruz, Rand Paul are against amnesty.

COULTER: Rand Paul, I didn’t see him.

HANNITY: And Marco Rubio, same thing, Marco Rubio changed his

COULTER: (Raising her voice over Hannity) Marco Rubio wrote that bill, and it passed!

HANNITY: And he said he regretted it.

COULTER: And he pushed it.

HANNITY: Let me finish, he now says he regrets it, do you not believe him?

COULTER: A little late now!

HANNITY: I agree, but I’m just telling you where he stands now.

COULTER: Cruz is for a path to legalization and incidentally, I don’t think Chris Christie has become stupid, he came out for amnesty, he did it in a lot smarter way than those guys did.

So just in case you misunderstood, Coulter was driving the conversation toward smearing Ted Cruz, praising Rand Paul, and of course we all know how she feels about Marco Rubio, what with her recent kook comment that Republicans hate black people.

The first time I ever heard the phrase, “path to legalization” was from Rand Paul, actually. This Washington Post article from a year ago detailed his comments. Since then, he has backed down, and eventually voted against the proposal...

RINO Amnesty for Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico and their offspring is another RINO cave-in issue that infuriates those of us who believe in strict enforcement of existing US Border Laws.

I honestly think Ann Coulter is more interested in “Ann Coulter” than anything else. Ann Coulter’s “Numbers”....her appearances on news shows, Sunday political shows, articles, speaking engagements, and working a new angle for her latest book

Frankly, she’s made some serious mis-steps in her analyses and comments lately which she recognizes, and she is trying to regroup and recover. She’s not doing to well with it.

From the appearance I saw here on last night, she’s looking the worse for wear in my opinion.

The only reason Coulter gets recognized is because she’s the loudest and most obnoxious one in the room. And people like Hannity continue to give people like her and Rove face time and credibility.

I wonder what has happened to Ann's book sales since her Chubby Chasing days?

She is now sounding like Karl Rove with we have to support Rinos that are electable! ...TEA Partiers can win BS.

You lost a good customer now that you've open my eyes Ann

I just don’t understand her, an otherwise good speaker and all around good “conservative (I guess). But she endorsed Romney throughout and now is in a love fest with that moron McConnell . . . I don’t get it.

I’m losing patience with this otherwise wise woman,.

OF COURSE SHE IS!!!

Ann makes her living being controversial on TV and selling books. If she spouted only dogma from conservative websites she’d be unemployed tomorrow.

Any legislation that allows the lawbreakers to stay and work here is amnesty. Citizenship is just the cherry on top.

Rand Paul supports amnesty. Cruz has not made a definitive statement on the issue. It is the definition of amnesty that is important. The amnesty supporters like to change the meaning of the word to fool and deceive the public. Paying a fine, learning English, and getting to the back of the line (in this country) is still amnesty.

Coulter kept spewing that only Mitt Romney could win.
She had help from Drudge.

HANNITY: I agree, but I’m just telling you where he stands now.

Now naive.

Half of the politicians run to the right and govern to the left.

Sure Rubio 'saw the light' -- until he gets in a postion where he can, again, push amnesty. He pushed it during his time in the state legislature.

I watched her entire routine with Mickey Kaus at CPAC on C-SPAN.

WATCH IT HERE:
Ann Coulter and Mickey Kaus held a debate, moderated by Jonathan Garthwaite.
The debate was held in the style of “Firing Line” as a tribute to Bill Buckley. It included questions tweeted from the audience.

Were Annie a solid TEA Party conservative, she would be solidily backing Ted Cruz, but she can't for another reason ... Sarah Palin helped him win election and Senator Cruz never fails to credit his great and close friend, Sarah Palin.

Coulter has always been a self-aggrandizing clown. Why do they put her on the air anymore?

Tired of the “show” that masquerades as news.

That being said ... nice try Rubio. We’ve got your number. Don’t even think about running.

On this issue of immigration, Ann is dead on. She has become the most articulate public voice on the subject.

Right On Onyx!

Sarah and Ted are on the Same Team.

OUR team.

Ann Coulter and her stick is sadly getting a little tiresome. Like that Bania Guy from Seinfeld and his Ovaltine Routine.

Was Coulter against amnesty back when she was swooning over Christie? It sounds like Christie still pulls a few of her heart strings.

Political pundits should avoid swooning and looking like fools when they crash. They should definitely avoid doing it over and over again.

I've been trying to figure out what Cruz's stance is on immigration and the border. Other than, "let's debate this in 2015"... I haven't found much beyond what's on the "on the issues" website.

Anyone got a decent link?

Coulter pretends to be a conservative until election day gets near. Then her true Progressive Republican persona is revealed when she endorses the Romneys and Christies of the GOP’s Eastern Progressive wing.
Yet right of center publications continue to publish her column.

Almost all the Republicans are caving. With all the double talk that abounds I am not sure just who is against amnesty at this point. Don’t really trust them anyway.

Her buddy Mitch McConnell voted for Amnesty in 2006 and 2007 and helped get it through the Senate last year.

She’s not fooling anybody. And neither is ‘ol Mitch!
