My 28 y/o vegan son was home this weekend and asked if we watched the show "The Miller", we said no.
He said that he was watching it at the gym and they made fun of vegans and it hurt his feelings...IT was all I could do to NOT start in on the "See..now it's time you get the to hear it for a while. You want to live it..then suck it up."
I believe the technical term is "low - T"
I just call it lacking b***s
My husband made fun of vegans while he was one for 3 years. He was trying to lower his cholesterol.and he was having problems with lactose, and that’s why he went vegan.
He’s eating meat again. He got cancer, and the meat gave him more energy.
I don’t think he’ll go vegan again. he has high blood pressure now, and he’s cutting down salt. He feels he has enough restrictions on his diet.
Thank you for that!
I love Bourdain. We gave up cable a few years ago. Last year we discovered his shows on Hulu/Netflix/Amazon. I do so enjoy them.
One guy on the telly I would love to meet in person!
Polishing your halo as you post?
;^)
Spell check got me again. I had trouble trying to figure out what “began” was supposed to be, before it occurred to me that we were talking about a vegan.
Your son may be the exception to this, but every vegan that I personally know is a total PITA about it. They CANNOT keep their yap shut about their choice. Veganism is holy, perfect, and will keep them running 7 minute miles until they finally drop dead at the age of 112. (Well, that’s what they say!) I used to be neutral on the question of veganism but now I just want to put duct tape over the mouth of anyone who so much as mentions it.
No normal person uses the term “twat-waffle.”
And conservatives don’t “get their feelings hurt” watching the main stream media?
I’m pretty much a pescatarian. I do eat poultry around the holidays. People do say things once in awhile and I do get caught with no choices occasionally. What I eat is my choice and I make no one bear the burden for it and I don’t care what anyone else puts down their pie hole either. I think where vegans go wrong a lot of times is they make their personal choice other peoples burden to bear.
