Those who find the RINOs like Boner, Linda Graham, Cantor, Ryan, et al. in Congress repugnant and those who registered as Independent in protest, can re-register now so they can join us in retaking our country in 2014 and 2016.

“Better I stay home. Let the GOPe wither and die.”

Obama thanks you. Then you are complicit in the election of the Democrats and are responsible for their actions, which results in the destruction of the country. I hope that makes you happy and proud.

With Magic Thinking to blunt the conscience, it is not likely that your cogent post will penetrate the darkness.

Could not have said it better...

Being a rock ribbed constitutional conservative, I realize we are a small percent of the population...probably about 20 % or less of the total population...

Last time I looked 20 % of the voters don't determine elections results...

I don't like it, but we will in many cases get "stuck" with less than desirable candidate, since the "party" will run the candidate who has the best chance of winning...Winning is important, isn't it...?

Do I want to see a Christie instead of a Hillary win in 2016...Hummm. Yea...Don't like it, but it's reality...

At least Christie isn't a died in the wool socialist...Is he perfect, far from it...but with a Hillary candidate...our slide down the slope will only get faster...

For these who say, a crash and burn is long term a better result than voting Rino, I'd see you in Obamaville...in your town...

I’m not sure what makes me more angry, you or John McCain. Mitt deserves better than that.

Gallup tells us 38% are conservatives. We can not win without appealing to moderates... we continue to piss on them and wonder why we loose. Romney politics wasn’t why we lost. We lost because the Dems out spent us, out organized us and painted us as crazy. AKA Todd Aiken. I would love a Reagan to come on the horizon... if he’s out there I haven’t seen him. Romney would have been a fantastic president.

I am coming to Texas when I retire. Already bought a house. Maybe you can clone Senator Cruz in the meantime. Don’t worry, this is one Californian that won’t upset the political balance of power.

Leni.....You are exactly right and many don’t realize the implications of not being able to vote in a primary election.
I have decided stay and work within the GOP to support candidates that reflect my conservative values.

Your vote for RINOs did a lot if good didn’t it?

“We can not win without appealing to moderates... we continue to piss on them and wonder why we lose. “

You are absolutely right — many if not most “conservatives” are focused on cutting off their noses to spite their face and forming circular firing squads, and can’t seem to get the facts through their head that these types of actions are exactly what got us Obama and Dems in control.

Welcome to the GDI’s. I switched the day that McCain secured the party nomination in 2008. They have done nothing in the last 6 years but drive me and my contribution $ further away. Nominate a conservative in ‘16 and I may go back.

Right on, Julie!

Everyone should read the Trojan Horse tale - how the clever Greeks soldiers hid inside a huge wooden horse to obtain entry through the gates of Troy.....and thereby win the war from the inside.

The GOP-elite is cowardly, corrupt and a carbon copy of the Democrat party. If we can't even summon the grit and know-how to work inside to oust the elites from the party's reins, how on earth can we ever oust the Dems?

I'm not going to join third and fourth-party nonentities just to prove a point....and lose the war the next two elections.

The one advantage of staying R in some states is that this is required for you to be allowed to vote in R party primaries. So you get your voice in which candidates they run.

Yes, and that is the case here in Florida. I will not give up on the Republican Party. I choose to work for conservative candidates, and will continue to do so. We do have moderates Republicans in the Republican Party, but I will remind folks that NOT ONE Republican in Congress voted for ObamaCare!

I know so many conservatives who say it was the conservative Tea Party/grassroots members that made the big Republican sweep happen in 2010. But then after so many of those conservatives refused to vote for Romney in 2012 they blamed the reelection of Obama on the Republicans! How does that work??? So many said the GOP forced Romney down our throats and made him the Republican Nominee and they were not going to vote for him. Didn't ALL Republicans get to vote in their state Primary, and didn't Romney win the Republican Nomination? Romney was not my favorite candidate, but I was determined to vote for the Republican Nominee no matter who it was to try to vote Obama out of office! As far as I am concerned, those who would not vote for Romney and stayed home, only helped reelect Obama.

Now we will see what happens next November. Will those conservatives who refused to vote for Romney vote for a Republican Senate or House candidate...even if they don't agree with him/her on every issue? Or will they just not vote and let the DEM candidate win because the Republican isn't a "pure enough conservative"?

With reference to your post 77, I did vote last year for Romney. Didn’t do me a lot of good, did it?

Unless there is a sea change, by that I mean a Great Awakening of the American public, it really is hopeless.

If such a miracle occurs, I will be back at the ballot box. But from what I know now, it really is an exercise in futility.

Nevertheless, if it gives you pleasure to berate us, so be it.

"All they do is split conservatives and make way for the Dems to win. Brilliant move."

I see it exactly backwards from your view. Its Republican RINOs who take votes away from Independent Conservatives and make way for the Dems to win.

Try something different because what you are doing isn't working anymore...
