There's even an old Korean name for such an 'execution by dogs' -quan jue-
so I reckon it's not the first time it's happened over yonder.
Yet if the ruthlessly swift arrest and conviction of the Norks' #2 shocked you last month, the execution method now said to have been employed
is unlikely to make you feel any better about it: despite the fact that his uncle Jang Song Thaek wasn't the nicest guy in the world,
it's hard to imagine anyone deserving to be stripped naked and torn to ribbons by a pack of 120 vicious dogs...
who had reportedly been starved for three days (!)
It was said to have lasted over an hour... and this in front of a crowd of over 300 Communist Party officials- got the message, comrades?
What would seem obvious is that this all should have a chilling effect on any real reform efforts in Pyongyang- can you imagine advising KJU to 'moderate' in any way after his moderate/pragmatist uncle paid the ultimate price? Those with no blood ties would stand on even thinner ice.
Interestingly, the story has been floated by a Hong Kong newspaper- the leak is thought to indicate displeasure/impatience with the Norks in Beijing-
apparently they liked doing business with the uncle, with whom they had elaborate ties.

Stalin is an exception to the general rule of it being a bad idea to make a habit of killing the inner circle. He killed them so fast they couldn't keep up.

They have control of the all-encompassing power of the government: troops, guns, courts, jail. And the media.

Sad that Obama can only dream of feeding his opposition to the dogs!

Ya never know about these workers paradises (North Korea, NYC, Detroit, California to mention a few)
Karma could happen
as was the fate of Ole Robespierre in the French revolution, Mr. KJUs date with the dogs, could also come... sometime in the future.

He killed them so fast they couldn't keep up. True that.
He eventually killed almost the entirety of the Old Bolsheviks, so that the only leaders left were those who had come up under his control.
It should be noted, as in this case, that most of the Old Bolsheviks pretty much deserved their fate for their crimes. There are no "good guys" in these power struggles.
Unfortunately, the power struggles always also result in murders of family members, including children, and other true innocents.

If true to form, this should indicate to the Obama Administration that NK is a country that we can negotiate or have a “dialogue” with. /s

There's even an old Korean name for such an 'execution by dogs' -quan jue- so I reckon it's not the first time it's happened over yonder. The Nork government has little about it that is Communist in any real sense of the word, other than rhetoric.
It has instead reverted to a loonnggg history of God-Kings and rule by military officials, that goes back probably close to 2000 years before conquest by Japan around 1900.
This history includes repeated vicious court faction fights, with the losers (and their supporters, extended families, etc.) generally purged up into the tens of thousands of people.
Then a few years later another faction would get on top and repeat the process. This history is addressed somewhat obliquely in the Korean movie War of the Arrows.
Don't see much discussion of this, as the media doesn't seem to be aware that Korea is a country with a very long history.

Dogs eating Koreans- How ironic

During his 158th day golfing since he became President, Obama spent more time worrying about his golf shoes than he did about a man like this having nuclear weapons.

“She just might get the old Anne Boleyn treatment.”
Yeah and it seems she would be lucky to get the Anne Boleyn treatment with an experienced swordsman rather then a pack of dog. That is just sick, hideous for the people and those poor dogs too. There’s only one person, who deserves such a execution, as the one he ordered, then again, something slower and just as torturous might be more the order for a despotic tyrant. Ugh, shudder and a pray. It’s in God’s hands ...

I have no doubt that, to ensure that the executions went off without a hitch, those ravenous dogs had already been gradually accustomed, in the previous weeks and months, to unhesitatingly attacking and devouring defenseless human beings.
Many no-name peons were assuredly rounded up, charged with trumped-up crimes, subjected to monkey trials, and then sacrificed just to guarantee that, at the "big event," the dogs would "perform" as expected.
The stuff of nightmares!

Can you imagine having to watch this and not show any horror or pity because if you do, it will get you and your entire family killed? The whole country must be insane from fear alone.
To: Timber Rattler
I thought that they had dropped a mortar on him? That was a different official, the Vice Minister of the Army who was allegedly not showing proper respect during the official period of mourning for the last Kim by getting drunk and carousing.
