"Duck Dynasty" will NOT go homeless if A&E decides to pull the plug ... TMZ has learned, at least two other networks are salivating at the chance to pick up the popular reality show.
The owner of the popular Christian-affiliated Hunt Channel -- a guy named Merrill Sport -- tells TMZ, he'd pick up DD in a heart beat ... and would beam the show straight to its most loyal viewers: sportsmen and Christians.
He says, "We believe in the 2nd amendment and freedom of speech ... A&E needs to put on their big boy pants, and if they don't like the programming, they need to either let [DD] go or shut up and pay them."
Sports adds, "A&E is too scripted. [Hunt Channel] would let the personalities flow."
Rusty Faulk, CEO of the outdoorsy Pursuit Channel agrees, telling us Pursuit is 100% interested in grabbing DD if A&E takes a pass. Rusty adds, "We don't censor our personalities."
Even if DD comes to an end on A&E, we're told its contract with the family provides they couldn't do another show for a certain period of time.

Personally I'd love to see Duck Dynasty end up on the Fox Network.Yes, good idea! Right before Jay Leno's new late-night show!

“and they have reinstated Phil.”
That is what I read elsewhere. Also that this was all a stunt to placate GLAAD.
I hope NOT.
But maybe the Robertson's really are just like all the other celebrities. Phony!

A&E is way ahead of them with plans on replacing Duck Dynasty with My Dinner with Andre: The Series. Will it have the same success as Duck Dynasty? Time will tell.

USAA is Homed in San Antonio. That place is huge. The SAPD even block off one lane of the I-10 Service road at shift change for the employees getting out to have a safe merge into traffic during morning/afternoon rush hour.
The spot marked "A" is just the Bank building, the rest is the Insurance Offices & Corporate Digs
Map
Property lines at: I-10 Service Rd. , Fredericksburg Rd. , Bluemel Rd & Hubner Rd.

Let the Marxist atheists put their money where their mouths are and release them from their contracts. Why should those elitists be embarrassed by a bunch of Redneck Christians.

The line just under the posting box: “Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts”
I am not sure if your problem is with reading or comprehension but I would think calling some one an Idiot would be considered a personal attack.
I also wonder if posts such as yours is one of the reasons Free Republic seems to take longer than it used to, to meet their fund raising goals.

I believe A&E broke the terms, not Duck Dynasty. If they try to hold them, that boycott will be huge.

however you can not prohibit someone from earning a living. Lawyer will break the contract in a heart break. You can earn a living alright. In another field. They aren't prohibited from working other angles. It depends on the exact wording of the contract. It may even have a buy-out clause. Who knows?

I am not a lawyer, I have morals and ethics, however you can not prohibit someone from earning a living. Lawyer will break the contract in a heart break. Non-compete clauses aren't always easy to break. I would be surprised if the one that appears to be in their contract prohibits them from doing ANY television shows -- in which case that would indeed be stopping someone from earning a living, at least in that field -- but it is quite possible that it would apply to reality shows, and that isn't uncommon in the broadcast world.

Usually they are used for a certain market geographic area, but given that this is a national show....

This would allow people dump cable, pay to watch content they care about and pay the content owner directly. Lets say only half of those 12 million viewers followed them online, thats 6 million subscriptions at, lets say, $10 per year? Could they do the show and pay Netflix for $60 million a year? Or, make it $15 per year and the extra $5 per subscriber would give them an extra $30 million per year to do the Lords Work with! But there is a huge problem with that. Most of the DD viewers are in rural areas where cable and high speed Internet is not available. Those fans/viewers likely have satellite which if DD leaves A&E they will likely end up on a cable/satellite already established network.

BTW that said if another company with better eithics were to pick up the rights to take over the show, offer it on satellite, I wouldn’t mind a reasonable ala carte fee to get that channel. I also wouldn’t mind getting rid of most networks I do get and don’t want.
