Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has been hospitalized after falling ill, his office said Friday.
A spokesman for Reid said the 74-year-old senator was alert and feeling better. His statement did not provide any details about Reid's illness.
Early this morning, Senator Reid was not feeling well and as a precaution decided to go to the hospital. Tests have been conducted and everything is normal. He is alert, resting and feeling better, said Reids spokesperson Adam Jentleson. Doctors have asked that he remain in the hospital for observation so he will not be working today.
Reid worked late into Thursday night and early Friday morning to broker a deal to hold nomination votes before the Senate adjourned, which is expected later Friday.
The majority leader suffered a mild stroke in 2005, leaving him in the hospital and forcing him to cancel some events.
On Friday, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said on the Senate floor that he would be replacing Reid for the day.
I spoke with him this morning and he sounded good, Durbin said. We look forward to his speedy recovery.
Maybe they can 5150 him
Good thing for Harry that his healthcare isn’t Obamacare.
Oh, that’s too bad...
Mini stroke?? That’s one....
I wish.
Maybe God decided to use his “nuclear option”....
Calling Mengele Zeke Emanuel
Those tests are faulty, because there is NOTHING NORMAL about Harry Reid.

Mange?
"..he's getting that nerve that runs from his ^&*hole to his brain removed"
Got his check-up in before new Obamacare deductible kicks in.
I wanna say I hope he chokes on his lemon jello, but its Christmas time & I really shouldn’t.
Maybe, while he is in there, they can remove his head from his a**.
Doctors found an atrophied neural mass inside his cranium and promptly excised it.
It is the evil backing up on him.
I...have no comment....
That's odd; he never was before.
