‘Agitated’ Dems Bugging Out; WH Has No Contingency Plan if ObamaCare Website Not Fixed By Nov 30

We hope they suffer a whole lot more than the millions of Americans who’ve lost their insurance thanks to them. Don’t forget, America, Democrats own this horror show in its entirety and they must pay next November.

Senate Democrats vented their frustrations over the faulty rollout of the Affordable Care Act in a meeting Thursday with White House chief of staff Denis McDonough and other senior officials.

“There’s a lot of frustration, everywhere,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said after the meeting.

McDonough tried to assure angry senators he is personally taking charge of the disparate federal offices in charge of implementing the massive law, which has been plagued by technical errors.

“He gave us the impression that he’s taking charge of the different elements and cracking the whip. He said to let him know if we had concerns,” said a Democratic senator who attended the meeting.

Marilyn Tavenner, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and Jeffrey Zients, whom President Obama has tapped to troubleshoot the bugs afflicting HealthCare.gov, also attended the meeting.

Democratic senators facing reelection in 2014 were some of the most vocal critics.

One lawmaker described Sens. Al Franken (D-Minn.) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) as visibly “agitated.”

Shaheen demanded to know why the rollout of HealthCare.gov had become so riddled with problems.

A Democratic aide said Shaheen asked the administration officials for a contingency plan in case technical problems are not fixed by Nov. 30. They replied they are working on one but did not have a plan to share as of Thursday.

They’re working on a plan to fix the next debacle! Surely it will save the day.

“[People] are unhappy. We want to see improvements. They’ve got to let people know what they’re doing, as they’re doing it,” said Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio).

Brown said too many people still don’t know how to sign up for health plans through the insurance exchanges.

“This is a situation where too many people don’t know about the website, don’t know how to apply,” he said.

If there are still people who don’t know about this disastrous website then we need to re-define low-information voter.

The WH better hope the site doesn’t get fixed. If it does, then we proceed to step 2: the country finds out who the winners and losers are in this debacle. It won’t be pretty.

Repeal? Including punishment for Osama and any Congressmen who pushed it?

Both are coming. Mark my words.

Since Obamam wont be arround in 2016 , we need to call this healthCare program what it is ,
there were no Republican votes to get it passed in Congress
Therefore, for 2014 , and again for 2016 elections , we neeed to rename it, and give political accountability
Since only the DEMS passed it , and it is half-a$$ed designed I propose the name of :

Demi-DemoCrapCare !!

Hope the GOP is united and not killing each other when the Dems launch their desperate counter attack.

The GOP cannot win. Maybe the Marxists will make such a mess that they will force the GOP to victory.

The republicans are comprised of a dozen feuding tribes who would rather sabotage each other.

They couldn’t fix this disaster of a law even if they were given 30 years.

Sh, come on..there is nothing to fix! When the site is up and running, who is going to make the young apply? Who is going to make those that can actually afford their policies apply?

Who is going to force Doctors to care for these folks? Who is going to force Hospitals to care for these folks? Seems to me that they left way too many options to other than Government!

You can't keep your “affordable” policy because it won't exist anymore. That's the point. And if you don't enroll, you'll be fined. Almost no one will have ANY options other than Obamacare once this is fully implemented.

Yeah, kinda my point but was trying to add in all the other negatives! Unless this stupid law is resended, we are lost!

I do get my release out of rebellion here on FreeRepublic so I do understand, just a matter of degree I guess. Of course everything you’ve said is right on!

We do NOT have Representatives at this point!

Yes - no one has been doing any advanced thinking about the deductible issue.

What happens when a person can’t afford to pay his deductible?

No health care?

Guess again - either taxes will go up, or the deficit will go up.

Same thing with monthly premiums.

If someone stops paying those, will they cancel his insurance?

No way - just more taxes and more deficits.

Also many states like CA are trying to raise people’s property taxes.
Obamacare also collects almost 4% on a tax on the sale of real estate.
Death tax has always been there and after the deductibles the government gets half of you after death.
The Obamacare penalty goes where by the way?

I know the system appears to only justify paying unqualified workers about $30k/yr salaries,..about 21,000 of them in CA alone as “Navigators”.

My impression is they are paid about $68/signup and are essentially telemarketers and seminar organizers handing out leaflets and flyers redirecting you to insurance providers.

Every Obamacare website I find can’t tell me what it does other than how it is a wonderful system that saves everybody money,...but no details other than to contact a Navigator who isn’t required to know anything about healthcare or the insurance industry.

Seems like a payback to black lower income wage earners as a token salaried job.

The money paid to navigators props up ACORN type organizations, and allows their people to work full time for the cause.

[they are not going to be able to fix this nightmare in 30 days. they wouldn’t even have time to properly test the fixes in 30 days.]

I have been working on a real estate expert system off and on for 5 years, some of the foundation code goes back ten years.
For the last two years running I’ve been telling people the code would be operational within 30 days. And I’ve believed it every time.

My code actually does work now, finally. But just verifying the results will take quite a while. My code base is say about 50,000 lines of code (it is hard to count lines in modern code systems, but that’s a good guess). Now multiply my problems times millions of lines of code and it doesn’t matter how many geniuses they throw at Obysmalcare.

The real problem with a system this big is no one person can get their head around everything, especially since it is all a moving target with new code every day and many inherited systems.

I don't think the web failure was anything other than incompetence, but it has worked in their favor. The truth about the high premiums, deductibles and copays has only leaked out a little at a time, allowing them to control the narrative better. The anecdotal rate hikes are anomalies, you see. MOST people will see savings!

They can stomp their feet and demand all they want, this POS will not be fixed by November 30 any more than it was ready on October 1. And how much longer can the most transparent administration in history stall before giving out sign up numbers?

I hope you are right, but after Obama was re-relected, I wonder if there is any common sense left in this country.
